Nowak 55/888 "Happy" Cow! (More Pics!)

Raiders style made of Happy Cow. I went to his shop(I had no idea he was fifteen minutes up the freeway from me.) He didn't take any measurements. It's the single finest piece of clothing I own. He made it in six days. It's incredible!
I've added photos. I'll add more when time permits.http://s209.photobucket.com/albums/bb24 ... 6674894289

That's a good color, kinda reminds me of the caramel-ish veg-tanned leather Wested offered a while back (which they used for their CS prototype). And it looks very slim-fitting... always a good thing! :TOH: Congratulations on a fine looking jacket!

Looks good. If I go by my jacket of Happy Cow yours is darker than it appears in the photo. It's great leather, and will darken even more with use.
Don't wash it but do wear it in the rain, or 'swipe' a damp cloth over it, like swiping a credit card. This leather will react.

Thanks Cas Dios. It fits perfectly. When I have someone to take a photo of me wearing the jacket I'll post. I don't think my two year old son is going to be able to pull it off. It is slightly darker RC but not by much. The Happy Cow reacts immediately to everything.

I guess that happy cow distresses very easy right? I think im right when I say that new finish lamb is harder to make marks on compared to the happy cow.

If I push up the sleeves and run my hand over the leather a few times, I get that nice Temple of Doom sleeve effect. It distresses very easily.

so the distress marks are easy to make on the jacket.

this is my worrie about naked leather like this. what will it look like lets say in about 6 years?

I imagine it will look really great! It's cowhide, not kleenex.

I guess... but im just alittle worried that it would look TOO distressed or TOO dull if you know what I mean. the leather and jacket looks really awesome. im not knocking down on your jacket. its just a question about the leather itself.

dont you also own a old wested lamb? how has that one held up over the years?

My old Wested lamb was great, but I dropped some weight and it no longer fit. I still have it, but it's huge. If you continue scrolling on photobucket, you'll see me wearing it in Italy.

Yes it really does. It was designed to and does it beautifully.
It's not a predistressed leather but it distresses easily. I don't know that I'd call it an "open" leather so much but it does not have a painted on top surface like some others.

Why does this make me think of the "Dish of the Day" from Douglas Adams' Restaurant at the End of the Universe?
"Good evening," it lowed and sat back heavily on its haunches, "I am the main Dish of the Day. May I interest you in parts of my body?"

Nice look, I like the combination of the Raiders cut in that leather. I may have to break down and pick one of those up for myself. ;)

I like the Raider's cut with the potential for a Last Crusade distress. I know the tow jackets are cut differently, but it's almost a hybrid of the two. I love it. Thanks for the comments everybody!

Hey, Texan Scott, it's a pretty thick leather. It holds its shape very well which is something I really like. Tony said It's not as thick as a regular cowhide but thicker than lamb. I live in southern California and it's been above sixty and I've been able to wear it comfortably.

Six days?

Anyway, on my ToD the happy cow is substantial, not light but not as heavy as the CS jacket
