is this an of the rack or custom?
IMO I think you should get some brown redish shoepolish and give the distressing a wipe over.

Looks like Wested did a great job on this one, and you did an equally great job distressing it. That jacket just screams Last Crusade. Enjoy it!

THAT LOOKS AWESOME!!!
I have a Wested goat ROTLA that I've had for close to 10 years, wear it all the time, and still can't get a good natural distressing, and you did a SUPER JOB in 2 hours...that's fantastic!!!

the distressing is very LC, but for what its worth, Im giving alittle 'Holt opinion'. IMO it should have had smaller pockets. it could just be the angle of the pictures though. the flaps look good and chunky.
what is the size of these pockets knibs?
how long is the jacket?
can we see it on?

I could never bring myself to distress a jacket. However, the distressing on your jacket looks better than the job that was done on the film jacket!

Please pardon the swollen face- I've been very sick with the flu. I'll try to get some more pictures of the jacket straight on.

Special? As in Short bus special?
I know what you mean, there are similarities, except the Kurtz distressing is much more exaggerated.

Actually, there really isn't much to it, just use rubbing alcohol to take the shine off, then use sandpaper on the desired areas.

Knibs, what grit of sandpaper and did you sand with and was leather dry or damp.........also mind posting a few more close ups of the distressed areas .......looks very natural ....great job

Kyle, while I'm personally in favor of natural distressing, that's an excellent job you did with your jacket. You wear it well!

Yes natural distressing is great, but when it comes to the LC jacket there is noting natural about the distressing. It takes something like Kyle did to achieve. Natural distressing is ever going to look like it.

yes I know!
Im just stating my opinion. I didnt say it looked awful. I said it was awesome. I said I was just a fan of natural distressing.
you call me out on it over and over and over again..., if I didnt know any better, I'd say you try to bait me on this LC distressing

Bait you? Too funny
Yes it is awesome, just as the distressing of every LC by TN we've seen here is awesome.
But it can't be achieved naturally, even though every time one is shown someone says they are a fan of natural distressing.
I think everyone knows it's not ever going to be done naturally.
Maybe Kyle will do one for you

Personally I love the way that distressing looks
But on the current theme: I would not wear a jacket like that myself. I find it nice to look at, but I prefer my jackets to have a more "real life" distressing. I do love the cut and the details of the LC though, so that makes me a bit strange: I like the LC jacket, like Kyle's distressing job (a lot, great job kyle!
), but that distressing isn't something I would have on my jacket.
Am I still making sense here?
Never did have all my ducks in a row, so nevermind
. Again great job Kyle
Regards, Geert

I've always hated the LC distressing in the film. Love the jacket but could do without the sandpapering.
