Or at least the best of the choices available..
I have a goatskin jacket I've had for less than a year. I just put some leather conditioner on it a few days ago. It is seriously so smooth and soft, way above my expectations. Plus it's so durable, tough, and it's rainproof, drapes great and is light enough to be worn not just when it's really cold.
THe only drawback I can think of is that it's a bit too light to keep warm with just a tshirt underneath, and it's not screen accurate for Indy jackets.
I love variety but it'd be hard not to get another everyday jacket in goat. I think I'd get cow for its warmth and lamb for screen accuracy though.
And I LOOOOOOOOOVE the smell. It's not the same smell but it's the equivalent to always smelling that new car smell. It's grrrreat.
I'm starting to think goatskin is the perfect leather.

well good for you.
but goat is not rainproof. its more water repellant then most leather.
if long enuff in the rain it will soak through

I'm a little cautious though. Right now in say t-shirts I'm a large, or fitted dress shirts I can fit ok in a 16. I do plan to actually lose 40 lbs of fat. Although I'd hopefully gain 20 in muscle. Think it'll end up being way too big if I order now?
