Hello guys. Gi Canuck here. Just got an awesome Todd's Custom jacket off Crisman. (Thank you again, sir!!) I figured it's time to put some pics on... I took a lot of detailed shots, so if you are curious about how they compare, just click on the link and there you go!!

Here are some summary shots...

Todd's Standard is size XXL (had it little over a year I think...)
Todd's Custom (Crisman's : size 48?)
Wested ROTLA Goat (OTR size 46)

Todd's custom temple effect. (Got a short neck, so couldn't duplicate it exactly, but this was the only jacket that actually enabled me to do so)

I find Todd's Custom very well built and to my limited knowledge, it also looks pretty SA too. This was the only jacket I have that had long enough collar to actually duplicate that Temple collar effect.

This is definitely built with a higher grade lamb hide and it shows. It feels thicker than the standard. (Not by much though, so definitely it'd make an awesome all-year-round jacket.) Don't know why the pocket is almost an inch bigger than standard's though... Maybe to match the proportion? (The sliders / strap are also huge...)

Todd's Standard is said to be built with the same pattern as the custom, but I am not quite so sure now. Liner also is satin, not cotton like custom...(Maybe that's why it's custom!!) Maybe the standard jacket I have is the previous batch before Todd upgraded his pattern. Nevertheless, I love this jacket and it served me well so far. This probably is the best Indy Jacket you can get for Spring / Summer in my opinion. I wouldn't say it's a bullet proof jacket, but it's not as filmsy as what people may think. I wore this jacket all over the place and it never failed me so far. No rips or cuts or anything yet. By far the best 'casual' Indy jacket you can get for steal of a price... Only gripe is the stitches around the pocket areas seem to be keep coming apart... Don't know why. Anyone else have these problems?? Size is XXL, but fits more like an XL to me... but I think the sizing for Todd's standard has changed since I bought it as well.

P.S. Oh yeah... One more thing, Todd's standard has an underarm Gusset which helps out with arm movements.... Custom and Wested don't have that... Go to the link I provided above to see the difference. It's quite interesting...

As for Wested Goat... It IS a bullet proof jacket... Love the weight and toughness of the hide. I got this OTR last year and it's an awesome fall jacket for sure. The armhole is cut pretty high so it kind of rises up a bit, but that's pretty much the only thing I have to gripe about this jacket. SA? Don't know... Collar doesn't seem to match the screen shots that much.

What do you guys think?

I can understand the photo rule, but the link rule I don't.
GICanuck's thread is a good informative comparison, and it would be nothing without at least the photo links.
He could skirt the rule by turning it into separate threads, but what good would that be to the topic?

Glad you posted some pics and info on the Custom. I wish I knew more about it.

Rules are rules, but I would suggest a possible revision of the links rule, because links are simply text, and not much memory is being used? Just a thought.

Nah, I think it's fine. I don't want to be the one responsible for using up our site's Bandwidth and causing a server crash and whatnot... (I think that happened before...) Thanks for the support guys, and keep up the good work holt!! :D

Thanks for all of the pics! The custom is a fine jacket, I just ended up going another way. I think I will get a standard some day. The price is just too good not to check one of those out. Seems like it would be the perfect early fall, late spring jacket.

Oh yeah, it's not bad even in the summer. I sweat lots, but I didn't find it too warm in this jacket even in 25 degree (c) weather. Standard is pretty much the best bang for the buck as far as Indy jacket is concerned. I don't think it's only good enough to be a "costume" and not good enough to be an everyday wear. (I wear it practically everyday, so yeah, it IS an everyday jacket for me...haha. The other ones are a bit too hot for me to wear right now.) Now, I gotta get ahold of a TN Indy Jacket to compare...

Hey Canuck, is your standard naturally distressed?

Half and Half I'd say... I artificially distressed the heck out of it about a year and a half ago... (A little overdid it in my opinion)

http://indygear.com/cow/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28492

and I've been wearing it pretty much everyday ever since and took it everywhere, so it's naturally distressed half the way I guess... So far it's one of my favorite spring / summer jackets. I was quite surprised myself that how good it looked on the photos I just took. I haven't had a chance to take a photo of that jacket since I distressed it...

That kind of reminds me... There has been a lot of people outside of COW commenting on my jacket... "Holy flying donuts, what the heck happened to your jacket?? Did you get dragged behind a truck or something??" One would wonder what my answer would have been... haha.
