Check it out, just happened to catch this tonight and it looks like there was a Terry Jacka 8ft Aussie whip at the beginning of the show. Yeah, I'm that bored... been stuck in due to rain here lately....

I noticed as well. Great show. Looked like a Jacka whip to me, too.

Marshall holding his face was priceless...

Love that show...wondered how long it would take people to post about this. Random note...went to college with Josh Radnor.

This was really funny episode, the Indy & whip tie in was great.

When I first saw that whip come out of the box, I thought "man, that is a 6ft Jacka", but then in the alley, the transition looked too weak. But when watching Dan's link to the show and seeing it again, it could be a Jacka that has been well broken in. The transition is still strong and the rest of the whip looks supple. Regardless, it was fun to watch

You know, I did the same thing shortly after becoming a college professor...
And yeah, looks like it might be a well-broken-in Jacka. Couldn't see it well enough. Might also be a whip from Vic Tella, or possibly Mike Murphy, (I don't think it's a Murphy...The knot didn't look right.)

I think I saw somewhere that Anthony De Longis helped with the episode. It's probably one of his Jacka whips!

That would make sense. It's not the sort of thing the studio would have laying around in prop-storage, but it looks like a VERY well used Jacka with the wrist strap removed, which Anthony, as well as Alex Green, and several whip artists I know, are prone to do because they don't like them.

i live in a simliar sized apartment, so it couldnt have been more than 6ft.. but my guess(based on nothin except that ive been watchin the show since the begining) is that someone in the crew actually ownes that whip, cause everyone is a SW/IJ nerd...
Remember the lightsaber-thanksgiving?
yeah, but the fact that jason segel(atleast looks like he) can make the whip crack makes me believe its a 6ft....
(im still a newb in recognizing whips) I too think it looks like a terry jacka. it was my first thaught
"yeah, i have a whipguy"
