Nowak Striated Shrunken Lambskin Raiders Jacket # 517 / 888

Here are the first pics of me wearing my latest Nowak jacket.
I love this grainy shrunken lamb. It's full of character and it's not that thin and flimsy what some lambs are.
It really needs some beating

I recently received one looking very much like yours. I was surprised at how heavy it was. Once I can break it in, the drape should be pretty nice.

Not digging that leather at all but as usual the cut is perfect. I still do enjoy seeing other members branching out with their gear as you've done here. Bravo for individualism.

Great jacket. That lamb seems to be very substantial. How does it drape?
Nice t-shirt too, by the way

Thanks!
It stands a bit by his own at the moment. The jacket really needs some beatup. After sometime it should drape like butter.
My first Shrunken Lamb was much softer right from the start.

Just curious, was there something wrong with your first Shrunken Lamb that you needed another one?

Nothing was wrong. It was a complete different hide. I would never sell a Nowak jacket. Each one is uniqe and great.
The first shrunken lambskin I got was a mix between smooth and grainy and it doesn't had any Striated Parts on it.
It was also a bit longer in the back. The new one I got is 1:1 HF sized. So the back is only about 23,5".
Pics of my older SL:

Man that baby is almost reptilian-like. Sort of Indy meets Tejus lizard.

Maybe Tony learned how to successfully mate a sheep with an alligator!

IMO I liked the older jacket better, looks more like the jacket we see on screen. But it is a matter of personal taste and what you like. Great looking jacket orb, I wish I had the money for fork down a Nowak. I need a credit card with 0 interest for at least 12 months in order to afford one. In these rough waters that is pretty much no where to be found. Anyway great looking jacket thanks for sharing the pics with us.

Hey Orb, I've wondered, what exactly are the 1:1 HF specs in a Tony Nowak? ie: A-B, C-D, E-F, K-L etc
Cheers

Check out the post from Chris King on this page. He quotes an email from Tony on the original jacket dimensions.

These are for Raiders.
A-B 23"
C-D 22.5"
E-F 21.5"
G-H 7"
I-J 23"
K-L 22"
M-N 25.75"

Ok, that's a little bit different to what Tony was quoting insofar as that post I was directed to said G-H 6.75 and M-N 25.5. Did the measurements get revised or something? I have to say, to my eye at least, the G-H on a Raiders seems more like a 7" than a 6.75".

You can see a 0,25" difference? I have jackets which should be 6.75" at the shoulder but I always measure 7".
It's no big deal IMO. When two people measuring jackets..in the end both won't ever measure the same.

That thread you were linked to probably isn't the best to go on. Read it and you'll see what I mean.
You can find more measurements in the #000/888 jacket thread as well.

There are other measurements in the 000/888 thread here:
viewtopic.php?f=25&t=36638
But why would Tony's own measurements of the original jacket be less accuarate than Asiana Jones's measurements of a copy?

ugh, I can see where this could be going having read some more of that thread mentioned above. Orb - I think your jacket is AWESOME, that is what this thread should be about. Awesome and screen accurate (although you probably could stand to roll it around in some dusty old cellar a bit - it still looks so fresh! Can't wait for a photo in a few months when it has broken in) You can't be a Raiders fan, look at your jacket and not want one. The specs - I will sort out with Tony himself over the phone when the time comes.

That's best, because you want it to fit and look right on
you.

..and having just re-measured my broken in Wested Lambskin, I'd say I'm going with HF specs +1 inch on the back panel.
Right, I'm off to tell my wife that she is married to Harrison Ford's body double!

Yeah. Good luck getting more than an eye rolling response to that one. I tried it, thought it would impress, but... no.
