Should wested source a dark br soft goat?

Hi. By this post I am wondering if the crowd could be interested in a dark brown soft goat from wested?
I really love the soft goat from wested and I would love it even more if it was dark brown. IMO the color should be dark brown for a raiders jacket. the dark colour is more screen acurrate since we almsot see the raiders jacket dark brown almost dusty black in most scenes....
If we all would love a dark brown color on the soft goat? Then my question would be, Peter would you be willing to source a dark brown soft goat for us?
so guys...vote!
I will unsticky this post as soon as peter has given us the yes or no..
Regards
Holt

I dont know if you have felt the new goat ''soft'' goat form wested, but it has the feel of lambskin.. I love it.
if it was in dark brown it would be the best skin out of wested.
SA darkness, drapy, soft, and though as nails....
come on wested...

This is what you are describing. The photos don't do it justice, it's very dark brown and soft as lamb.
Soft goat1
Soft goat2
There is a new one as well, even darker and more of a dull finish. Super soft

I think that is the old goatskin wested used before. I have those samples too...and that is the color I would like on the new soft goat.
the soft goat only comes in authentic br. maby a touch darker. but not as dark as the samples you posted.
if you think what you there is soft, you should feel the new goatskin, which has been given the name ''soft'' due its lambskin likeness.
do you have a picture of the sämple without flash. the flash makes it look darker then it really is.

Actually Holt, the flash made it look much lighter than it really is.
Wested has never used this goat. You haven't seen it before.

Holt the sample in in the photo is about a month old, literally. The other I mentioned is much newer, an arrival within a week or two, but my sample is from today.
The name given it won't help you. I could pm it to you if you really want it.

I have a sample of some soft dark brown goat. Have you not got some?
It's definitely softer then the old goat used to be. That stuff felt bulletproof.

You sure it is ''dark br soft goat'' and not the darker shade auth br soft goat?
If it is soft goat in dark then no, I have no samples.
wested hasnt sent me samples or replied to my mails since I made this thread.

The answer to this is NO. I have in stock several thousand feet of Goatskin in Authentic and a small amount of Dark Brown Goat which is not soft.
Goatskin is not the most popular skin and to have another 2000ft tanned (minimum quantity) in dark brown would not be
commercially viable.
The only way I would do this would be when the Authentic was gone to replace it with a darker colour, although I am also looking at other production options.
Cheers
Peter

I would think that a pre-distressed lamb, (color accurate) in the vein of a LC likeness might be the way to go for LC and possibly Raiders. Many members get their shiny, new lamb jackets and then go to work distressing them. This might eliminate a step.
Also a lighter weight n/p hide might really catch on?
