Don’t know if this is the right place to put this or not .
Im looking for some good music to practice my whip cracking with . I prefer stuff like in sound tracks. ( No lyrics all instrumental) but if you know some songs with Lyrics that go good with a whip crack in the back ground then let me know those too. I don’t have very many and was wanting some more but don’t know any more. Here is what I listen to .

1.The Man From Snowy River sound track. Not all the songs go good with whip cracking 3 or 4 do.
2. No Man Hires Me , No Man Fires Me from Australia.
That’s all I have
What do you guys listen to when you are practicing with your whip?

I prefer to listen to the unspoiled music of my whip cracking, and echoing off the hills! :TOH: :whip:

Ya I do that too, but some times I get into the mood for some music to go along with it

You could always listen to Jimmy Buffett's "Desperation Samba", as it has whip cracking in the back ground performed by none other than Harrison Ford.

Haven't tried it myself, but I have always enjoyed the way whipcracking and didgeridoo get along in John Brady's DVD. Just a thought. Very Aussie in my opinion. :TOH:

Now that I've moved to LA, the only music I hear when cracking my whip is the sound of the police sirens coming to tell me to stop.

As for actual music, I would try 'Ride of the Vaulkries' from Apocalypse Now.

Ha-ha Wow I looked up these songs and man! They are some of the coolest / strangest songs ive heard.

As cool as they are they don’t inspire me as much as the three I have. I’m looking for something that have a similar style as the three I listed. I’m looking for songs that make you feel like "Yup Its good to be a man with a whip" . I know some one is going to say get the Indy Theme song and that is a good one but I still need more than four .

The Raw hide song is almost one of those I might end up getting that one

Thanks for the Input guys . If you know any more let me know .

You could try "Whip It" by DEVO or "The Sabre Dance" a classical piece piece by Khachaturian (I didn't know who did it, I had to look it up.)

My psychic iPod has picked both the aforementioned "Rawhide!" and TMBG's "Minimum Wage" at various times as I was heading into a park to start cracking.

Yesterday it picked a cover of "Every Day Is Halloween" (http://www.amazon.com/Every-Day-Is-Hall ... B000QNRZZY) which made me feel less dorky in my fedora. :)

I'm partial to Ravel's Bolero and Holst's The Planets/Mars, Bringer of War

Eye of the Tiger

Try cracking in time with every surge in guitar.

(No, I haven't tried it. It was just the first song that popped into my head)

If you're really ambitious, crack in time to "I Got the Power"
It's gettin... It's gettin... It's getting kinda hectic... :notworthy:
