Hi guys, I need a little help with my Fight Club jacket.

It looks like this:

It's a bit... well... plain I think, I'd like it to be a little more shiny like this:

I thought that maybe I could apply something to the leatherjacket, except I don't know what to use. So if anyone has experience with this kind of stuff I'd like to hear it.

edit: By the way, I'd like to color it into a deeper red, can any of you recommend a brand?

Yeah it looks pretty good at the moment but I'd still like to shine it up as the movie jacket was a tad more shiny.

wow, almost 70 replies and no one has any idea? :?

How about using some regular leather shoe wax on it? This brand, for example, or just whatever your local shoe shop carries. I have a couple of different kinds of shoe wax at home; one absolutely colorless and one with a bit of brown in it. Both should shine up your jacket a bit, and the later kind might darken it a bit as well (and both ought to do well for waterproofing it :) ).

With Denmark being the Pecard-less country it is, I have used this stuff on leather jackets, with no ill effects. If you are unsure, you can always experiment on just a small, out of the way area of the jacket first (underneath the collar, for example).

Depends on the leather, I use Letap on my Wested lamb and it makes it shiny again. Got the cans from KT Templar. I also have Pecards from Joe Strain that I use on my other leather stuff and it works great.
