Fedoraiders: A Another Steet of Cairo Hat
Hello Everyone! I re-blocked my another Federation Deluxe with my ultimate Raiders block.
This is my realy best hat that i made until now.
I think that my hat on the pictures third and sixth are incredibly beautiful. The back of my hat on the picture sixth is perfect same as Raiders. The center bash is very deep same as Raiders too.
I love my creation and it's realy special to have this hat on my head. I improve my technique every day.
Thanks for looking and i repeat I cannot speak about now but i beleive i have a good news for the Fans of SOC hat for this Automn or this winter.
Fedoraiders
If you want to see a another pictures with this hat and my the description of my gear, look on the Srapbook section. viewtopic.php?f=11&t=42418

just awesome
Re: Fedoraiders: A Another Steet of Cairo Hat
Another terrific looking SOC fedora! But even this hat, on the wrong head would not look the same as it does on you. I hope everyone here understands that. Your facial shape is similiar to Ford's. There used to be another guy on here, who no matter what brand he took, the always pulled off the look better than most. Not taking anything away from you fedoraraiders.
The SOC hat, takes alot of work, to pull off. And is best done by the owner. I know I don't have the time to make em, since you are replicating a very relaxed and distressed hat. And of course, you are using rabbit felt too, which is essential, I think, for this particular look.
You have quite a bit of "artist" in you, that is evident, along with Holt, who made the best looking one I have seen to date. You are a very close second, but I can't tell for sure, unless you did what he did, and post it besides the SOC on Ford's head. That would be a great show and tell, and I would love to see you do that.
I love it when you guys take a hat, any brand, and do the work to get the look of this particular hat.
How long did it take you to get this look? That is, once you reblocked the hat? I am sure many here are curious. The back shot, from the side, looks just like LLS's blocks. Great work! Fedora

I don't just re-block the hats, i made the hat with felt body and the accesory. I beleive that is the similar. In fact, I bought a beaver felt body from you few months ago. I make many experience with your felt. It's very interessting felt.
My head size is 59 cm, similar as Harrison but I'm realy sure that i don't have a similar head form that Harrison Ford because I have a large head for my height and my forehead is much larger to Harrison, i'm sure.
This hat is perfect on the all head form. My hat would be perfect on anyone who has a head size similar of a mine. i'm sure.
When i re-block or i made the hats, i call my father and my friends for the test. I put my hat on them heads and I look the hat on the all angles and i take the pictures for my archive.
Look these pictures, it's my father with my SOC hat. The look is very very nice on his head and his face does not resemble to Harrison Ford.
The head size of my friend is 57 cm and last year, i made a SOC hat for him and the look is very very good. I have 5 hat blocks with a similar form for make my Street of Cairo Hat, i have the blocks 56cm, 57 cm, 58cm, 59cm and 60 cm. Since 2 years i work on this projet and i beleive that i make the good replica.
Thanks!
Fedoraiders
P.S. Note: I have since 2 weeks a Garrison hat and my hats are very very different than those of LLS. I like the LLS hat but i love my hats that i made.
Thanks!

Fedoraiders, I've looked long and hard at these pictures and can't find the sweatband stitching. That hat seems to be very tight, as is the ribbon. How did you hide the stitching so that you can't see it?

Hello Dave! The sweatband from Federation is soft and small and is almost not visible, it's the best for the Raiders look. I like wore my personnal hat tight same as the Screen Used in Raiders. The stitching is realy delicat.DR Ulloa wrote:Fedoraiders, I've looked long and hard at these pictures and can't find the sweatband stitching. That hat seems to be very tight, as is the ribbon. I hope that you understand because it's very hard to explain this.

No, I'm not really understanding. Its not your fault, though. I do have another question, if you don't mind. In one of the first pictures you posted here at COW, there seemed to be shaped blocks. Is this how you get the SoC look? or do you use a traditional block and then crease the hat?
Dave
Edit: I found the picutre I was thinking of. I'm talking about the block on the bottom of the picture.

Are you sure this hat isn't your Dad's that you've been passing off as your own?
It looks like your Dad has worn that one for years! If it isn't his, you should give it to him and create another for yourself. It looks GREAT on him!
A natural!
HIGH regards !Michaelson

Hello Dave! I use the blocks that i made and the shapped block that you tell, it's just a felt.DR Ulloa wrote:fedoraiders wrote:Hello Dave! Look this picture and you understand.
Also, look the interior of my hat, i don't put the inner satin because the SceenUsed do not have Inner satin.

Terrific looking hat. I'm admittedly not a fedora expert as far as the small details but your hats look dead on to the movie hat. Awesome work!

I agree. There must be more than 1 Indy fan in Quebec - if you all started wearing your fedoras in the street, you could start a trend. Its a big area i know!
Besides it looks so good and SA but still remaining natural looking. You do a fantastic job Fedoraiders. Tres bein mon ami!
