I just found this on Joe Strain's website.
www.northernwhipco.com/Indiana Jones Bullwhip.htm
It's a Raiders style whip that has great SA details. Does anyone who has one care to elaborate? It might be my next purchase.

Hi Indiana Jake,
Here's a recent thread that introduced this whip a month or two ago:

It looks beautiful, as Joe's whips always do!

BTW, did you notice the whip holder beneath the photo of the whip on the Strain website? Looks a lot like Wade's Super Holder...
It is.

Just spoke to Joe yesterday and ordered one. I already have one of his 8' KOTCS replica whips. Joe is amazing, and I'm really excited to see and crack his take on an SA Raiders whip (I ordered a 10'). I also went ahead and ordered a 9' "SA Raiders" whip from Bernardo Del Carpio (should be getting it in a couple of weeks, will post pics when it arrives), and I paid Marc Kitter for one of the Midwest Whips AB "SA Raiders" whips in 8' (This way I will have 3 SA whips in 3 lengths by 3 different whipmakers.)
If you want to know more about Joe's whips, all I can really say is that you should call him. He's a really great guy to talk to on the phone, he's very friendly, loves talking about whips and whipmakers, and will tell you everything about his whips that you wanna know. He's very in touch with guys like Bernardo and Paul and David Morgan, so he can also give you the scoop on some of the differences between his whips and theirs.
I wish I had his whip in hand already, so I could show you pics, but there are some already posted on this link.
Good Luck in your decision, not that you'll need it! I'm convinced that Paul, Joe and Bernardo all make fantastic SA whips.

Since you can only crack two at a time, can I have one.
Just kidding.

Sorry. It's true that I can only crack two at a time, but when the whips aren't being cracked, I use them for ropes to tie down the cover on my yacht.
Just Kidding!

I just got both an 8 foot and a 10 foot from Joe a couple of weeks ago. You guys won't be disappointed. They are really nice ... as is all of Joe's work.

I drove to a very large warehouse where I intercepted a box. There it was - a new treasure. The Raiders anniversary Strain whip is in my hands now. It is everything I expected to be. Looks and sounds great. I am looking forward to spending more time using it.
