Donate it, then see the "vendors" section at IndyGear Main.

You have a nice, well worn leather jacket. As a plus, it has no knit cuffs or waist. As a minus, there is no collar or cargo pockets. It does look like a jacket that has seen some weather and wear, other than that, I don't think you can do anything to it to make it look more like an Indy jacket.

Alot of us have jackets that we will not part with that we had before we acquired our long sought after Indy jackets. My advise is to enjoy it the way it is, and if it doesn't scratch the itch, save up for a Coyle's

That was meant as a joke as I don't think there's much you can do to make it more "Indy-like". I think Weston is right, Todd's standard would be a great option to scratch that itch. You'd spend more money modifying the jacket you have than what it would cost to get yourself some new threads.

I actually think he means what can he do to make his other leather jacket look more like the 'worn in' finish the jacket has above. right?

No. Not really.

It's a completely different style and pattern. Other than trying to match distressing to a film jacket still, you'd still be trying to make a Chevy look like a Land Rover. It just won't work.

The real deal breaker is the lack of a collar, incorrect side straps, incorrect pockets, etc.

I agree... No way that could ever look like an Indy jacket. What size jacket do you wear?

Ya- there really isn't any way to make it look like Indy's unless you somehow get the exact same leather and fashion some front pockets...
Other than that- I suggest you get a new/different jacket

I'm confused. Are you asking how to convert the jacket in the picture into an Indy jacket, or are you asking how to distress a jacket in the way that the pictured jacket shows? Since this is in the "Care and Distressing" section, I hope you'll understand my confusion.
