So I was hanging out, watching Rio Bravo (subsequently one of my favorite John Wayne movies) and I started to realize just how much I love hats in the old westerns. They're beat up, with loose bash jobs, messy brims, and each one is unique. So, being bored (hence the title) I grabbed a half-finished Indy hat that I had previously given up on, and started messing around with it. Here's the final product, which I find myself being very happy with:

Re: product of boredom
I LOVE old westerns. John Wayne being my absolute favorite (OK maybe a tie between The Duke and Clint Eastwood). Rio Bravo is one of my favorites, although it is a little weird when Dean Martin and Ricky Nelson just start singing in the jail cell. Nice job on the hat. Sort of looks like Dean's in that film.

Holt,
I'm actually watching Mythbusters right now and I think it's the C-dent and shallow bash.
Travis,
Seeing a member of the rat pack crooning with Stumpy the jailer is a little odd. Thanks for the compliments though!

Adams hat is a Clint Eastwood man with no name hat from knudson hats. Here is my reworked hat in that fashion by our very own John Penman.

I remember seeing your thread on that hat. I really like it. Kudos to John for the work and you for the good taste
