OK, so today I take one of the two Wested jackets I have off of the hanger, and I put it on. The collar has slight creases at the 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock position when I look at it, also when I have it on. They are not hard creases, but what makes these collar creases go away? How should I store it? Special hangers? Folded up? Leaving it hung in the closet has given it this slighly pressed or folded look to the collar. The creases stand straight up when I wear it. Any ideas?

I tend to hang my leather jackets on a wide wooden hanger with shoulders, or a big padded hanger. That seems to work for me and keeps Mommy Dearest off my back.

I hang my jacket on a hook. No hangar. Just a hook. In fact, I go out of my way to NOT treat the jacket special at all. I throw it wherever I want, get it dirty, get it wet, scratch it, step on it....I definitely don't baby it, and my Wested lamb Raiders is still in perfect shape. I've seen no "creasing".

I use a hook or a good jacket hanger, but no evil wire hangers! Google jacket hangers and you'll find a ton of results. However, I'm not worried about collar creases. If you are though, and you have the room, simply lay it down on a shelf out of the way. This won't put any stress on the collar avoiding unwanted creasing.

Jake, it usually works to dampen well the creased areas (or entire collar) work it well with your hands throughout the creased areas, shape as you desire , wear till dry,shaping, tugging,etc as it dries.......repeat if necessary....

I can't even believe you're asking what to hang your coat on! Everyone knows this is what you need.

Coats will do fine on a hanger, just make sure the hanger shoulder size is increased with the weight of the garment...

I use plastic hangers with the slip-on pipe insulation added for extra thickness. Or the locker loop that Wested sews into each jacket. That is what it is there for.

a bit of unscented skincream worked into the creases and left flat to soak in can do wonders for removing creasesin leather, but test it first in case it changes the colour
