I just got my AB earlier this week and snapped this pic for you all. The hat was made on Steve's newest and latest Raiders block and bashed with a generic Raiders bash.
I am quite happy with it and it fits perfectly. For those wondering I ordered the first week of December 2007 and the size is 22 3/4". Steve is a great guy to deal with. Never had
too much trouble getting a hold of him and the product is top notch.

Congrats! She'll serve you well for many years!
Is it possible to see it from a little further back, and from a slightly higher angle, and maybe the back? It's just a bit hard to get a feel for the new block from the infamous self-shot angle. Being Steve's work, I don't doubt that it's just marvelous though
Wear it well,
Brian

The thing about my hats is even with me changing blocks, the hats still look the same to me! You take my first hats, from 04 and compare them to 09, and it would be hard to tell which from which. This is because, as long as you stay with a basic shape, even adding a bit of taper most times goes un- noticed. And my basic shape from the get go has changed very little over the years. I never varied from it, to any large degree.
A blockshape within certain parameters will always yield a Raiders looking fedora. Only when you move from this, do you get hats that don't look Raiders like. Like a domey dome block, or more than 3/16ths taper on the block. If you move to more than 1/4 an inch in taper, you get a different look, and many vintage hat blocks have more taper, think of the Stetson Temple, as you recieve it. That hat has almost 1/2 an inch in taper from the bottom to the top. And, hence, it makes a tapered hat. Fedora

Well, even to me, beeing a big n00b around here, those little, almost not noticably, changes tell, what kind of perfectionist you are with the Raiders hat! A guy like me, just sees a Fedora and with an almost accurate bash, we see a Raiders hat. But you guys are paying attention to every little detail. Every single crease has to be 100% SA.
I really admire that!

Beautiful hat. I just need to see it from few different angles. Purely to admire the the 'holy grail'
On your location it says WA, is that Western Australia? If so do you own any Akubras? And if so, how does the AB compare? I'm imagining there is no comparison and that Steve's work is stunning, but I just love hearing about it from someone who owns one!
