I've got a 38 chest and ordered a small. I still had to get it taken in at the sides, and still do even more and in the arms. (Thindiana Jones is what I call myself  ) I'm 6 ft too, and got the shirt shortened a bit too, but thats personal preference to wear it untucked with jeans (still lots of length to tuck in tho without is rising up). I'd say small is your best bet, or if worried get a medium and get it tailored to your frame.

Cheers, thanks for that. I usually go for small with Wested, LLBean etc any way. However sometimes you buy these shirts and they're strangely sized.

When I bought my AB shirts, I believe Marc told me the sizing is pretty accurate to what you would find at a store. I wear a size Large normally, and the Large AB fits me just fine. The AB wrinkles up just nicely after a machine wash and drip drip. You might want to reinforce the buttons, though, as I've had a few fall off and get lost.

I would always listen to the vendor who's product you are buying. They should know their own product well enough.

I'm a 40 and the S is a close fit on me. It's a bit tight under the armpits but wearable.

For a 38 chest person it would be fine.
