Hi All. Just wanted to let everyone know what an incredible hat box John Penman has for sale. We've talked a couple of times via telephone and he was so sure I would like his hat boxes that I ordered a couple for my two Penmans (both KOTCS Train hats- steel grey and dark brown), and an KOTCS AB (ordered 10/07 and expect delivery any day now!!). These hat boxes are specially made for Penman and, according to John, the maker is as picky as he is regarding quality. I can tell you that the boxes I received were beyond my expectations. They're rock solid, cradle your hat perfectly (including a specially designed interior that does not destroy the crown bash or brim) and come covered with a beautiful satin like material with Penman's outstanding logo. They come in two sizes (I believe based on the brim size) and three colors. These boxes are a great value for your dollar, and I highly recommend them. Check out the Penman website for all the details. You will not be sorry. These boxes are a beautiful and safe "resting place" for your fedoras when you're not wearing them.

I would love to see some pics of the inside of the hat box myself. I may just have to purchase a couple.

Aw...without a camera, not only can you not show us the hat boxes, but you also can't show us your shiny hats.

John always does great work. Good to know they're getting positive reviews (my bank account isn't happy about that though ).

These boxes are finished with a fabric called bengaline. These are all hand made and the best quality hat boxes of this style I have ever seen. When this guys sent me a prototype " He knocked my socks off. " I wish you could see the fabric of the finish. Most hat boxes of this kind is finished with a tape. This is not the case here. This is top of the line hat boxes.

The inside has an insert to hold the hat in place as not to get banged around. I'll see about taking a pic of it.

Really nice hat boxes. I think if I get one, I'll get a stand as well since I'm thinking of getting a Beavers gray "Seaplane" one from you soon and I can alternate between the brown one I just got and the gray. Problem with the box, as nice as it is, doesn't show the hat. But it would keep the hat dust-free.

I need something like five of these. I want one for each of my Penmans and ABs. ###### John! Stop coming out with great things for me to spend my money on!
