The best hair for wearing a fedora

Yes, maybe this is a little metro of a thread but I've always had a problem with keeping my hair decent looking after wearing a fedora for an extended period of time.

Generally after I wear one my hair gets this kinda "I've been pressed up against a wall" look. I generally keep my top longer and the sides and back shorter, similar to Rick O'Connell's hair style in "The Mummy".

God I feel weird asking this..."Any tips?"

How did guys back in the day keep their hair looking good while wearing a fedora.

You already have a classic "short back & sides" by the sound of it - which is the pretty much the classic look for the 1st half of the 2oth century up until the late 60s. If you want period accurate hair-dressing, go for Brylcreem, or Black & White Pluko brilliantine (wax!). ;)

That's alright, at least you still have your hair! If the first try doesn't come up with anything, try one or two more refinements. I typed in "hat hair," set it for topics in the Fedora section and found those in the list it brought up. True, the search function is a bit awkward, but it works if you give it a chance. If that doesn't work after a couple tries, post away! ;)
