Always worried about that dreaded taper!

Hey everyone, I am going to be in Laughlin this weekend and I hear it is going to be very hot. Well I would like to take my hat with me (Mag/HJ/AB), but I have been reading many threads about heat, water, humidity, pretty much everything being a threat to my beloved stovepipe. Anyway, my question is; should I be worried about taking my hat with me on vacation? I mean I bought the hat so that I could wear it, but I don't want to leave with an Indy hat and come home with a dunce cap! What do you all say?

If you got the hat to wear, wear it! If anything happens to it, you can always have it reblocked, but use the hat as it was intended — by wearing it on your noggin!

Agreed. A hat is simply a tool...to keep the sun and weather off your head. Use it, unless you only purchased it to be a costume piece. If not, wear it.

Lets make that 3 for 3. Just wear the hat. It should do fine in normal wear. Just don't go standing in the rain for 2 hours just to see how the hat does.
Worst thing you have your hat reblocked.
