I believe one of our intrepid members found out that it was a Todd's... if that person feels like confirming, so be it. But I trust the source. And yes, very nice.

Dejah Thoris SPOKE to Adam in person a few weeks ago at an event at UCI and he told her it was a Todd's (he spotted her Wested and was asking about it!!). He also confirmed he had an Adventurebilt, but said he gave it away (sounded like it was to an organization) and autographed it. He may have bought another one though.

was watching last night. That's a pretty good looking jacket. Even more so if it is a Todd's standard!

Not surprised, Adam is a total gearhead. At Maker Faire last year he was showing off his personally-made SA bullwhip and Grail Diary (and in progress Maltese Falcon casting project). It would not surprise me a bit if he lurked here.

Good to know that my eyes weren't deceiving me when I saw the episode last night. I was also checking to see if he was wearing his AB to match the jacket, but he wasn't. Sad to hear about his AB, but congrats to the lucky fan who has/is getting it.

Actually...he wore his Wilson button up leather jacket that episode. Evidently, he didn't get his Todd's untill after that episode.

I know he wore the button up jacket for most of the episode, but I think he wore it specifically for the motorcycle scene - otherwise you're right and I just had a brain fart.

It is a pretty non-descript Wilson leather jacket. Four button, blazer style black leather jacket.

I can't remember where I heard it was a Wilson , but I know I heard that somewhere.

No worries Shane! I am as bad about Mythbusters as I am about Indy. I teach science in High School and Mythbusters is a great way to connect with the kids (all the cool science involves blowing something up.) Adam is one of the reasons I had Penman refurbish that "Man with no name" hat for me. The Indy jacket is new to this season. He must have seen a picture of me wearing my Clint Eastwood hat and my Todd's jacket and thought,"Man this guy is super cool...I need to try that look."

Not really a blazer, besides it looks retro - not a great jacket but a decent one. Wilson's today has nothing like it - they now look like they are made and designed in India - it's the cut, folks. Adam's looks like it was based on an early 1960's pattern and a US made jacket; a thin leather, but a hard wearing (cowhide?) as the series demonstrates. Sure, there are dozens of similar jackets, but I've always been kind of taken with this one.

And Indy's too, of course.

adams jacket is lambskin. he said so himself.

Good lord, don't want to stray too much off topic, but if you run across reports online that Mr. Savage passed away on May 25th, it is a false rumor.

I was on facebook and randomly looked up his fanpage there and in the search results came up with the "Adam Savage memorial group" and their intro was:

"A memorial to the late, great, Adam Savage, who ended his life on May 25th. Here you can post your tributes and remember the life that was taken from us too soon".

That spooked the daylights out of me, didn't want others to suffer. They have fairly recent posts their claiming discovery channel is in denial and all that nonsense, even claiming they don't want publicity of another Steve Erwin situation on their hands, so needless to say I'm glad it's hokum, internet mythbusting at it's worst.

Sorry I missed this one so long ago, could've got the info cleared up a lot quicker... just came across this in a search trying to remember where I posted the info, as the question surfaced again recently.

This is the todd's standard I used to own. I distressed it in my normal fashion and sold it to Adam Savage via ebay. He is seen wearing it in the episode mentioned earlier and in a few others as well over the past year.
