Do you think it matters that the bash is off center?

It took me 7 months to finally get something I'm happy with but the bash, the center part, is off center. If I look at it from the top with the sides folded up to see where center is, I can tell it's to the right. When I put it on my head I have to turn it a bit to the left.

I have a hat exactly like that that was made by Richard Swales of Herbert Johnson. It would depend on how extreme your off-centeredness is, but it doesn't bother me, in fact I think it adds character.

if you hat is turned then the center crease will not be even.

It sounds like you might not get the idea.

First pop the bashes out, then put it on your head straight. The brim should be straight. Now turn the hat to your right so that the bow moves towards your nose and the brim warps. When you're happy with the brim bash the crown to your liking.

Vp is correct but to build on what he stated. Put in a light center crews while the hat is still on your head to know where the crease should be. Don't turn the hat back. It would be crease off center.

I have a nervous tic, when i put on my hat i generally twist it ever so slightly to my right, don't know why just do. I had the same problem, because i was bashing the hat off my head with the normal center of the hat then i'd put it on and well you get the idea. Now when i get a new lid i stick the hat on like i would any day and put the center bash in while looking in the mirror. Once the center bash is in the side bashes can be put in with no trouble when it's off your head and you can slowly adjust them as you see fit. Try getting someone to take a pic of it on your head from a bit of a distance (10 ft) so you can really see what it looks like, pictures taken by yourself at arms length or in the mirror i find don't help much with the overall look of the bash on your face or head.
The only issue is the brim will warp a little, because its "turned" but thats wear it fits comfortably.

I could be mistaken, but I think what blueoakleyz was saying is that his hat, when he puts it on "straight," is creased off-center, to his right (instead of to the left as would be the case with a usual turned hat that was put on straight), and that he doesn't like it that way.

Well no I know what "The turn" is.. which is why it's sort of a joke that it's turned, unintentionally, and the wrong way
