Low cost jacket.

Post by SciFlyGuy »

I came across this site on my internet wanderings...

http://hollywoodjackets.co.uk/index.php

They do an "inspired" replica Indy jacket for £99.99.

Has anyone had any dealings with them before? :-k

Something doesn't look right....it uses D-rings instead of triglides for instance. Why not just get a Todds Standard which is very SA and cheaper?

Yeah its OK, pockets are too big and for an extra £25 you may as well purchase a bonafide Wested.

I already have a Wested, but you know how it is - one jacket is never enough!

I guess ultimately you get what you pay for: £99.99 worth of not-quite-accurate leather jacket.

Wow, that back panel/yoke/arm sleeve is WAY off. I wouldn't buy that.

If its any consolation I'm making do with a £40 job from TK MAXX! Its not 100% accurate but its as near as ######!
I actually went to Wested last week with the intention of buying a Raiders but ended up with the Wolverine as ill wear it more and looks better IMO.

That jacket kind of looks like a poor copy of a USWings jacket

Looks like a poor copy, visuallly. Not quite right in most aspects. IMHO, avoid this one. ;)

Burn the blasphemer!!

Actually, sometimes, it takes putting on the jacket for you to tell if it suits you or not. I really like the Wolverine, but don't think I could wear it day to day.

Can we see some pics of you wearing it? Which version did you get?

Hi there, i got the X men 3 version as it fit me like a glove - size 44. There's a pic below, believe me i went with every intention of getting an indy jacket. Ive bought pretty much everything else there is to buy but i got to Wested, chatted with Gemma and really took to the Wolverine jackets. Looks great with a pair of timberland boots and dark jeans. You can wear it pretty much anywhere where as for me personally the Indy jacket is not something id get a lot of wear from on a day to day basis- that said im sure ill buy one one day!
