Well doc, as promised, I present to you the third (out of five) most screen accurate CS Fedora!!!

...and the mysterious (until now) addition, a completely custom-built, and perhaps first of its kind hat-block hat-stand made completely by Ohio Jones!

I had earlier decided that I would hold off on posting pictures until I finished my 'display', which still needs a glass case, but when I opened that Fedex parcel by Ohio Jones, it really was just too beautiful to contain!

My hat is off (and on the stand, it seems) to both Fedora and Ohio for their amazing works of art! I just cannot thank both enough, as you can plainly see in these photos what they have produced goes above and beyond even the highest caliber of hand-made items, and certainly does "belong in a museum!"

I really will have to especially give props to Ohio Jones, who somehow seems to be able to go under the radar when this guy should be walking loudly alongside the finest of our ranks! Just ask Indy G, or even Penman, and I'm sure they will back me up in saying Ohio is a rare individual indeed! He's an incredible craftsman, and was unbelievably patient in working with me to come up with what I think might be the first of its kind, and perhaps the only thing worthy of Fedora's fedora- a hat block hat stand!

Thank you Steve and thank you Matt, what you have both individually achieved is simply phenomenal!

Very nice Castor! I love it. That hat sand is worthy of the AB and it in return. I would love to get one like it. I'm using my block as a hat stand right now...it works.

Just thought I'd throw in an update as I finally recieved the final pieces for the display, and now have the finished display up! I must say, it really is quite an eye-catcher! :D

In case anyone's wondering, written on the gold plaque is:

Indiana Jones IV
Hero Fedora
Handmade by Steve Delk
Special CS Run #2/5
*blacked out* Collection

Technically though, the plaque would be incorrect, since there are now at least 2 other CS liners added to the run, but the display just looks too perfect for me to even consider changing it! :P

Once again, thank you Steve, and thank you Ohio! :TOH:

Wonderful display! Looks really like a museum piece.
I guess it´s really hard to keep it in there and not to wear it ;)

GREAT!

Thanks guys! :D

Actually Tremolo, it's easier than you'd think, especially considering that the fedora is too tiny for me! (it's in Ford's size) :P

And you can't really see it well in that picture, but the mini-Fedora on the mini-suitcase (which I got from Blockbuster) to the right of that picture actually is pretty humorously accurate to Steve's fedora! I'm no hat-expert by any stretch of the imagination, but when I look at their side-profiles, I just can't help but notice that the crease and the brim (though a little exaggerated on the miniature) does look pretty spot on!

Niiiiiice. Ironically my cheap self-bashed Fed IV looks identical.

I Just got my AB CS White Liner Fedora today (now 6/6) and I think I'm going to go the same way and get a stand and case (yours looks great!) but it's so #### wearable. It's by far the best hat I've ever owned pure quality, perfect. I'll see if I can get some shots posted later. :D

Castor,

My friend I have to say that display rocks. Great job on the glass. I am so glad you like the block stand and it was a pleasure making it and an even better pleasure collaborating with you on it.

I loved the hat. I have to say it was hard to send it back...lol. Actually I was afraid to even touch it.

I had a blast working on the stand and I think the black walnut was the way to go with that color hat.

Looks like you have a nice collection of Indy stuff. Someday....I will be on your heels with my collection as well.

Take care and keep in touch,

Ohio
