The guy below Holt. THAT jacket breathes the Raiders style to me I don't know what jacket it is. But its well lived in Mitch Larue's is also very cool but thats a wested Standard and I own one of those, so Its just the way he wears it.
But all of these jackets are too short for a Raiders in my opinion;)

I think someone should label the pictures or post the order, I only know three of the chaps by their photo and name.

I think Rask nails it, the texture of the leather and the fit is bang on.

sure no problem.
I just cropped them and rezised them.

I updated your thread with a new picture of my jacket.
I think this picture shows more of the raven bar side of my jacket.

I had NO idea a photo of me would end up in a Poll...
I'm flattered (but if I'd known my jacket was getting voted on for "likeness" I think I woulda tried a little harder to get into a better pose like how Yojimbo looks...)
Ah well... maybe next time...

That jacket isn't mine any longer, and that's not me in the pic, btw. That's Mark Seven, and HIS jacket!

Ah So many words. So little time.

To be fair to my jacket, that pic was taken about an hour after I pulled it out of the box. It's changed after wearing it all Winter.

It's just as weird for me too, Mitch! Flattering, but weird, especially if you're in some freaky Zoolander pose like I am. Brought that on myself, though...Mitch LaRue wrote:

Viking spirit..
what the...?
Re: Raven Bar Line Up - Super Coolzado
Thanks for the compliment! I wasn't fishing for one, I promise! I just wanted people to know that the jacket hadn't broken in or anything yet when the shot was taken. If I take another, I'll definitely post it up. Thanks again!neutronbomb wrote: Well I really liked the picture. Alot. However, if you have recent picture that shows it off better that you prefer to have posted, then post it and if you want me to I'll switch it out. The poll runs for about a week and people can change their minds as they go.
Holt already did this because his Viking spirit required it, and Whiskeyman too. So if you want to do the same it's only fair. But, just for the record I really like the picture. You look like a gunslinger and that's a rad picture. When I was 10-12 I read every Zane Grey book and Louie Lamore (?? on the spelling, too lazy to google it) and I absolutely and totally think the best movies in the world are movies like 'shoot 'em up' with Clive Owen. So bottom line is on your look, picture, and jacket.
Re: Raven Bar Line Up - Super Coolzado
I think I'm gonna vote for Holt - and I'm no Wested flunky. But Wiskey's is looking pretty fantastic too. You know, call me a &*^%@, but I think the jackets available these days to fans actually often look better than the one HF wore. That's a good result because it represents everything that got me into the jacketology in the first place.
The G&B in that photo doesn't look great, I've got to say. We need more shots of worn and distressed G&B's. I think the Mechanic's G&B s best up to this point.

Flattered that my pic is up there alongside all those awesome jackets!
I wasn't really going for a raven bar look there(it was just a chilly day so I zipped-up! )
I've added a couple of my own scuffs to that jacket since I got it,but Baldwyn really deserves all the credit for the distressing on the GB(8 years worth!)..I have to say, though,I do prefer my Todds for the raven bar look-maybe because it's not as thick and heavy as the GB?-just feels more Raiders to me.

Re: Raven Bar Line Up - Super Coolzado
I know that voting on this poll ends this coming Saturday... and I also realize that "all the votes are (likely) in" on this little competition of ours... ...(and yes, I realize that I only have the 2 votes) ...but I'm the kinda guy who, if he's going to try and do something, figures "Well, I might as well give it my ALL"...
The fact is: even though I don't think I can win this (I'm tied for last place, after all)... I'll hate myself if I don't go down swinging!
(I mean, hey: that's what the Indy approach is all about, right?)
So...
Inspired by the way Yojimbo's photo shows a similar pose to the HF photo (something I've always loved seeing Holt do as well when he's showing off one of HIS jackets) and in keeping with the fact that a few pictures have been changed or updated since this poll began, I've decided to post a couple of photos that are more "in the Raven Bar spirit" than the photo of me that was originally submitted...
Don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily think I'm the C.O.W. Member with the most SA jacket - frankly, if neutronbomb hadn't already thrown my hat into this ring (though I'm very flattered that he DID) I'm not certain I would've done so myself. But hopefully these shots will show what I already think: that my little ol' Wested can kinda' capture some of those "Raven Bar looks" pretty well...
Please let me know what you think.
(And neutronbomb: I know you've already made a number of changes to the photos at the beginning of this thread... So please don't feel that you HAVE to, but if you don't mind doing it, I'd much rather one (or both "linked") of these photos up where the poll's question is asked.)
Cheers,
Mitch

Mitch, those are awesome! Love the spirit you have! And you are correct, your jacket can hold its own against the others, looks good to me, especially the first picture. Nice job... And you have the "oh sh.. I'm gonna get shot look" down

Re: Raven Bar Line Up - Super Coolzado - IT'S A FIGHT
Thanks guys!
I stopped short of setting my office on fire for the "right" kinda' lighting, though...
But I couldn't help myself and ended up adjusting a few of the Settings for those photos in Photobucket to give them that warm Raven Bar glow
(I'm not usually that "bronze" in person!)
Anyway, glad you liked 'em... my goal is to try and get at least one person to change their vote!
All the Best,
Mitch

Re: Raven Bar Line Up-Super Coolzado-IT'S A (RAVEN) BAR FIGHT!!
There is a whole lot of time between I-J movies in which other I-J could be made to fill the Adventure gaps. HF is too old to play in them now unless they follow the time period of IV, so they need a new actor for the part.
I think both 'Holt' and 'Mitch' should audition for these
Maybe Yojimbo as well

Holt's DEFINITELY in the running for the next movie, especially if it's called "Indiana Jones and the Calvin Klein Campaign"

Yohimbo, I think Holt's holding out for them to remake the Kirk Douglas, " The Vikings" movie,......now who do we get to play the Tony Curtis part.......

I understand. Seven's are good. I just meant that in general photos of G&B's at COW are pretty average. That's because the jackets tend to be new and plastic looking.

Holt... while there's not a whole lot of things I'm in the habit of making promises about, I'm pretty dang sure I CAN do this for you:
I solemnly swear to you, Holt, that you'll NEVER see me putting on some kinda' Mime show... nope... no way... not me... not even for April Fool's Day... NOT gonna happen.
There.
Are we cool?
By the way...
I don't know how many more times I'll be able to visit C.O.W. before this weekend's over and as you probably know the opportunity to vote on this thread's Raven Bar Jacket Poll ends after the weekend so I just want to take a minute to say thanks to the folks who actually showed me a little support for not only my jacket but also my willingness to get a little goofy and theatrical (yet never, EVER "mimey"!) while doing so. That meant alot to me and... well... I just wanted to say so.
Have a great weekend, everyone.
All the Best,
Mitch

Re: Raven Bar Line Up-Super Coolzado-IT'S A (RAVEN) BAR FIGHT!!
*A quick interruption on a somewhat related matter*
(The following has been posted here in this thread as well as in my "My Good Ol' Magnoli Herbert Johnson" thread & the "My WESTED: A bit older & (I think) ALREADY a little BETTER" thread.)
Hey folks,
Just a quick note from me on an unusual topic... but it might be of interest to some on you (I'm posting it here in one of the threads that prompted this because I realize that this subject I gave it it's own thread in separate forums it would likely get locked up faster than you could say "skinjob".)
First of all, I just want to say a heartfelt thanks to those C.O.W Members who have not only had kind words to say here on these Boards about the photos I've been posting, but also in the many pm's I've received over the last several weeks.
Your compliments and encouragement are very flattering...
So, naturally I want to let you in on what OTHER craziness I've been keeping busy with...
As many of you already know, I'm also a member of Propsummit.com as well as a frequent visitor over at Filmjackets.com (Propsummit concerning primarily with all things "Blade Runner" and Filmjackets focusing on... well... Well Known Jackets in Films.)
Recently I'd purchased some articles of clothing that make up the Gear of Harrison Ford's character "Rick Deckard" (specifically, an Abbyshot Deckard Trench Coat V2 and Indy Magnoli's Deckard Blazer, Shirt & Tie.)
For those of you not familiar with Propsummit, like the community here at C.O.W., we'll often post photos of our Gear for the purpose of comment, compliment, critique & criticism.
In keeping with that practice, yesterday I posted a bunch of Rick Deckard Gear shots.
Some members here have urged me to do more photos and while I realize these Blade Runner shots have me without my well-known (locally) trademark fedora OR scruff, they ARE still "Harrison Ford Themed"... So, I thought that maybe 1 out of 5 of you might be interested.
Now, some of the photos are a bit dark and murky (but I love them because they're moody and I think they give the shots more atmosphere.)
Like many of us here, there are members there who are fussier than others about certain details might be also be tempted to point out a few problems in the finer details of my outfit - so for those of you who ARE familiar with some of the details of Deckard Gear, I feel I should say, I DO know my pants aren't quite Screen Accurate - but I like these duds... a lot.
My main goal with these photos was to show my BR Gear and how they all interact with each other in different settings (and types of lighting).
At Propsummit.com you'll find the threads in the "Replica & Screen Used Costumes" Forum.
If you DO pay them a visit, I hope you like what you see... And feel free to leave a comment or drop me a line if you DO.
All the Best,
Mitch

Re: Raven Bar Line Up-Super Coolzado-IT'S A (RAVEN) BAR FIGHT!!
I've always wanted to open a Rick's Cafe Americain here in Coral Gables, only call it Dave's Cafe Americain. A Raven Bar wouldn't be a bad idea, though.Dutch_jones wrote:Well not all people with white painted faces are bad (A) KISS rules,Indiana Holt wrote:as long as you guys dont paint your face white.....thats a warning...
with all my heart, mind, body and soul I HATE mimes.
But wouldnt it be funny if someone actually opened a ravenbar just for gearheads
