So, I just watched Raiders again, and I have a question. We know that the bag that was used in KotCS was also used in Crusade. I got to looking closely, and have to ask if this was also the bag used in Raiders. They seem to have some of the same distressing on the bottom possibly, and that little loop on the side (you know the one that when you buy the bag has the string attached to it that was to go around your back and loop around the disk) is HUGE as we've all noted before. It's also HUGE in KotCS. Take a look at the photo where Harrison is sitting in the chair on the streets of Cairo set, and then look at some of the good still from KotCS or zoom in at Akator just after Mack has complained about things being a waste of time. As Indy approaches Ox there's a great shot of that bag. So, what do you think? If it is the same, that would be amazing!

It's possible but I thought it was a Temple of Doom bag used in Crystal Skull in the ant scene but, I could be wrong.

I guess if Lucasfilm kept the Indy bag in with the ark and the other Raiders props it could possibly get used in the other films.

Maybe Harrison had it. Surely he'd take things home once everything is wrapped up.

No it was the LC bag

i think it was the prop video on the crystal skull dvd stating that the hero bags (basically non action scenes maybe just standing) were the LC bag and the others were replicas of the LC bag they had (they used the LC bag on the close up scenes so the people can see the distressing and worn look)

Im pretty sure they keep all the Indy gear IN the ark of the covenant so if those who are unworthy try to get at it there faces melt or explode!

The prop department. The main prop guy says so in the DVD extra.

I'm pretty sure I heard a rumor that they look around a surplus store in London around Elstree so that they easily could get extras.

Nope- like Treadwell said, the prop department made replicas of the bags and straps

Interesting they would actually make them and not procure them from a source such as Todd or Magnoli etc.
