H&K G3 Rifle Sling

Post by Chewbacca Jones »

I know some have expressed an interest in or a liking for rifle slings as bag straps. I bumped into these, while they last;

Not bad at all. Pity it only adjusts to 50 inches.

My thoughts, exactly. But for the thinner and/or shorter crowd, it should work fine. I've seen a couple in person used on MK's.

Like me! :lol: This is honestly my favorite strap of the bunch. I especially like how it hooks and attaches to the bag. I've never had any issues with the strap coming off like I have with straps which use Chicago screws. It might not be the most SA because of it, but it feels more "authentic" to me.

I have one on my five-dollar plastic airsoft MP40. Bought it from http://www.varusteleka.eu/prebeo/showpr ... _2IE0RZZ5G

Seems that the price has gone up on these. If I remember correctly, these were selling for 2.99 about a year ago when I bought a few. Still a good deal at 4.97.

Back then I also bought a couple of Finnish Gas Masks, mainly for the nice canvas bag they came in. The bag is excellent quality and very durable and practical as a completely non-SA Indy type bag. They are still at 9.97 and brand new. It's a really good deal in my opinion. Here's the link - http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/MIL1200-1.html

Me, too - use one of those at my MK VII as well and like Bink said, it's really easy to attach. True, the buckle is way down (since the strap is rather short), but it really adds character to the bag (and I think it's just what Indy would have done - grabbing an old military bag and attaching a strap like this). Of course, there're also some sentimental reasons ... the G3 (inkluding strap of course) gave me some hard times on the longer marches back in the army. ;)

I have one of the bags without the mask. Actually they are completely SA, SA in this case stands for Suomen armeija (Finnish Army). Varusteleka (Accessory Sledgehammer) also sells them here: http://www.varusteleka.eu/prebeo/showpr ... _2IQ0WQVT5
