Hello,
Just wanted to share my gloves I bought at Home Depot for only $5.99! The label said pig skin and they are fairly thin but nice and soft. I thought that these aren’t to bad for the money and I needed some to complete my out fit. They need some distressing though that will come over time. Here is a picture.

Good find. Can't wait to see how they take to a good distressing. I take it you'd do it the natural method, yard work?
Cheers!

If you don't like the smell of your gloves, instead of using something synthetic like pecards, use mink oil. I LOVE the smell of mink oil on my gloves.

I bought the same gloves, after I cut the tag off and got them a little dirty they really started to look the part. I am trying to naturally distress them. As far as the smell, I haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary, so far they smell just like regular old work gloves.

Nice Gloves!
I would have to agree. Mine don’t have a intolerable
odor as well.

insomniac is right I have those same glove from home Depot (but min were $8.99
)
And mine have an awful smell, Indyzane try this put your hands in the gloves where them for about 10 min. then take them off and smell your hands THEY SMELL LIKE THE GLOVES!!! and they don't distress that well
But aside from all that they are a good find for the price and I would suggest them to anyone who still needs gloves

I'm telling you, mink oil will solve all your glove odor problems. Give it a shot.

Where is the best place to buy mink oil? I don't think that the gloves smell. When I first bought them I sprayed them with rubbing alcohol to get them wet and form to my hand. But I really never notice a odor? That’s good and bad I guess.

Cool [and inexpensive] gloves!
I need to get some work gloves, and plan to get some Indyesque ones. Naturally.

You can get mink oil at most shoe stores. I think you can go to any mall and get it at Aldo.

Yep I have some of the same ones, got them about 3 years ago still in decent shape. They are tough as nails gloves. I have never noticed any out of the ordinary odors from them other that regular old work gloves smell.
Mine were first used when I was doing field work in a rain forest so they have seen some adventure
