Hi..
nothing to special.. just thought I could share these pic of my jacket.
I was walking around today thinking I should take some outside pic of my jacket. I ended up in a old war ground.. lots of tunels and bunkers... but of course sealed shut.. to bad...but lots of history in this place... lots of spiritual activity going aorud here to..the weather was just perfect for this place today.. misty and rainy...
anyways.. I had my camera with in my bag b/cI wanted to take some outside pictures of my ''Holt'' raiders soft goat jacket.
I just love wearing this jacket..the skin is just the best skin out of wested...the color is just especially good..
anyways..here are just some pictures of it..

Man Holt, that jacket looks amazing! With the pics in some natural (overcast) light (not saying it doesn't in the sun though), it looks the part exactly. Its also really cool to see old war sites like that. We don't have many around here really, maybe an old wooden fort, but its been restored, and only has guided tours. You have to love the stuff just sitting out there, unrestored.

It seems perfect to my eyes. Exactly the same jacket as in the movie... What else can be said?
Holt, just one question: I have read that the goat Wested offers is very soft and thin, and yet, quite strong.
How does it drape compared to the authentic lambskin?

Rask

Love that collar, Holt.
I agree about soft goat being Wested's best skin. WAIT...
NO...their
HORSEHIDE rules!
Goat's a close second though.
Those ruins look awfully interesting...now, where's my Marshalltown.

the soft goat drapes really welll for a goatskin. I mean I had a of the rack goatskin jacket before and this baby here is like lambskin compared to the older one.its really buttery soft. you see the armwronkles bunch up just like a lambskin would.
but it is thicker then lambskin but just a allittle thicker. IMO it drapes like the LC jacket. so I think this hide will be perfect for LC.. and thats exactly what I am getting on my next jacket. LC in soft goat.
hope this helps

Holt, question about your anticipated LC in soft goat......what are you going to do about distressing, as you mentioned TNLC thread that you thought the distressing was one of things that made the LC special......

rigth. it does..
but Im not going to distress the LC goat jacket. if I was to distress one then the jacket would need to be made in lambskin. when you have the jacket cut lamsbkin then it gets the autentic look if you distress it... maby Ill get one just for distressing.
goat would be to hard to distress.

uhmmm... no mister moderator
I was planning on takeing some outside pictures of the jacket since I hadnt done this with my new jacket. I just happend to be in this place at the time I did. So I figured I could spice up the pictures with this backround instead of the boring backyard pictures.

Let me compliment you as well on the great jacket ,Holt. Wow, that does appear to be very soft for goatskin. Nice!
Cool backdrop too. We've got some old "coke" ovens here in western Pa, that I think would make a Indy pic background. I need to do that.
Those are WW2 bunkers I assume, vs. German invasion?
