Alden colors - after use

I've never really thought the difference between the original Raiders Alden 405's and the newer "pumpkin"-versions were that big, when the boots were heavily distressed. But when I received my Raiders-boots from AB I could, off course, see how big the difference really was.
However, having now used both pairs for a longer time, I realize that the colors gets closer and closer to their respective film-looks after a while. The pumpkin-ones, that I bought seven years ago, still holds their original color, but the difference from the lower parts to the upper part, mostly hidden by pants, reminds me of the KOTCS look.
The original brown ones are not that old off course, but having been used every day for a while now I see, that the natural distress (plus some help... Michaelson, You dont wanna hear about it.) gives them the mat-finish look I see in the opening scenes of Raiders.
The photo shown here is taken in bright sunlight, which gives the biggest difference. In subdued light they can almost appear identical when they havent recieved Pecards for a while.
Just a little user-info from a very, very, very proud owner of both pairs
