MKVII Bag

Post by snowshoe dave »

Hello to all,
I am new to the list, and am trying to read as many of the old posts as possible.
There are many talanted members here.
I just received my MKVII Gas mask bag from Magnoli Clothiers, WOW the attention
to detail and quality craftsmanship are beyond what was expected.
I hope to be able to contribute to the list soon.

Congrats on your aquisition and welcome to the club! I think you'll like your Magnoli bag. Any chance of pics?!

and if I don't do it, you'll probably get one of these anyway.

Have to agree with Hollowpond. Great group of people, lots of cool information, but once the addiction sets in look out. By the way, can anyone lend me some money? :[

Hey Dave...

I wanted to tell you that there are many great and friendly vendors here. Magnoli is one of the very best. He has good quality and an attention to detail, so you made a good choice there.

I paste the lines I've wrote two minutes ago in the Magnoli's MkVII review section:

A very sturdy, well constructed and detailed MkVII replica. But I vote 3 stars rather then 5 due to the color: truly too brown to be historical/movie-accurate. The description tell "olive-drab" color, but this is not olive at all, it's a sort of "coyote" brown.
In any case, congratulation Mr. Magnoli: a very nice bag! Change the canvas color and it will be perfect!

Ha! I think I'm in the same spot. I recently picked up a nice Mk.VII and I've been trying to read up here to decide what strap to get.
Probably only a matter of time before I feel the need for an idol or Ra headpiece.

Wow!

I started visiting http://www.partsofsw.com ages ago and thought it was one of the coolest and most entertaining sites around back then. A friend of mine and me studied it for quite a bit. And it still is cool I see! :)

It's an honor to meet you! ;)

High regards,
Swindiana
