MOD EDIT: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=9524

bit rich for my wallet - it seems authentic - bet Steve didn't charge that when he made them!

Cool, I'm gonna go for it........................ or I could just wait for mine to be re-sized by Steve for nothin ;)

Also I tend to doubt this as authentic, granted it was made by Mr. Delk and it has a white lining, but I didn't think the hats Steve sent had his Adventure Bilt logo on the sweat band?

Actually, a few did. You can see one in the hat Ford wore in the rocket sled fight scene. ;)

I noticed the Adventurebilt on that scene, also. Quite spendy for my blood.. or I'd consider it. Question is, how did this person obtain said hat? I thought uncle george would have had a tighter fist on these than this?

Yeah, not too sure that I can fork out that much for that hat. Especially since you could get an authentic hat from Steve for much less, dirty it up yourself and says its adventure used on your own adventures. Interesting if it is indeed authentic. :-k

Ha ha nice one crofty - dont wear out that pause button!
I did mine in watching basic instinct ha ha

In all seriousness i think its authentic - its way to pricey for my pallet and i have my own Adventurebilt which is pretty much identical except for the AB logo which is missing from this lid. besides Id loathe to give all that money to a Frenchy!

It will be interesting to see if it sells.

Keep watching guys!

Could this be one of the prototypes Steve ended up selling?

I'm not so sure now - i think the seller is using some artistic licence. read Steve's letter which clearly says it was used for sizing and then sent onto western costumes which is some sort of outfit/costumes store in the USA. From there it appears it wound up in the hands of the seller. Sure ford may have tried it on but i don't think it was used in the movie.Ill keep my AB and hopefully this vagabond wont get a sale!

If it is one of the ones from the film, it is interesting that it wound up in the UK. I'm surprised that it didn't get hoarded in the Archives. :-k
But hey, I suppose anything is possible.

Cheers!

Somebody better than me try a search: that hat is on this forum somewhere else, I'm sure of it. Hopefully someone will remember - but it's been on Ebay before, and yeah, I seem to remember it being used for fitting, screen tests, etc...

Here are some screen-used Adventurebilt related threads. I haven't gone over them totally yet, but maybe this is it:

Now thats a new one, ha hahahaaa . :D :) :anxious:
Just got done whatching it and I saw the logo, without wearing out the button. Almost did on one scene when he's talking w/Mutt. Looks like his glasses don't have that cable like in Raiders. Also just order new ones from Frames Direct (w/cable)
