The size ordered was 'small', hoping it would fit nice and snug, I was'nt even bothered if the sleeves were too short.
I am nearly 6' tall but have a very narrow trunk.
Imagine my surprize when the shirt arrived and it was extremely baggy, more like a Large than a Small I took it to be altered by a local seamstress, who pinned the side seams, underarms and put two darts in the back.
The result is a perfect tailored fit, well worth the £25.
For the record, I am in earnest when I say that I love this shirt.
No matter how hard I tried, I found it very hard to get an absolutely accurate reproduction of the colour of the shirt, very close but no Oscar.
To be specific, I can tell you that the shirt is the shade of a very milky cup of tea or a light coloured sand.
The shade is very SA, IMO, something as seen in ROTLA Cairo scenes.
Other aspects of the shirt are not quite so SA, the buttons are a great colour contrast, but are a little too big in size, and the epaulettes are about 5mm too wide (when compared to my Magnoli which is very SA).
These pics were taken as soon as I got the shirt back from the seamstress, I have not yet had the chance to distress it, also, the pocket flaps had been left open prior to my taking it to the shop and I forgot to close them before taking the photos.
Cheers,
JTW.
