On westeds site it states that parts of the ToD jacket are glued rather than stitched. For those of you that've got one, which
parts are glued, and how to they last?
cheers.

the bottom hem on most westeds are stitched. the wested tod design, the screen LC, the screen CS and the us-wings offerings have no stitching at the bottom hem and they therefore use glue to secure the folded leather.

Also Stringer, the Wested ToD jacket is pretty new to the scene here, so we probably won't know exactly how well they last for a while, though I'm sure they're going to be fine.

It's standard practice - I've had several which use adhesive. Some do break away after 30 or so years I've found.

I was curious about this when I got mine. I had faith that it was nothing to worry about. I searched the jacket the first day and couldn't find the glued areas. I'm glad to now find out what area is glued and have to say it doesn't worry me at all. As far as I can tell nothing else on the jacket is glued.

In automobile engineering glueing autobody parts is nowadays a standard procedure. What's good for cars should be ok for jackets right

Jackets should last longer!
But a glued bottom hem, even if it becomes unglued is no biggie. It seems it's more for "training" than attaching.
