NB, would it possible to repost the link to your pics from the visit.....some of those jackets and leathers were making me drool........

This comparison pic does a lot to address the question of what one of the originals looked like and that COULD have resulted from "shrunken lamb " hide...

I don't know, I always looked at your threads as from a curious and knowledgeable reporter that was just relaying his research or findings, maybe you tossed your opinion in there here and there, but you clearly labeled it as such (redundantly so in my opinion). Pretty much you just relayed info and I don't think it's necessary to "kill the messenger" as has been said on this forum in the past. True, I can see where whiskyman would be upset at Mr. Nowak's words, but I think less said on that topic in a forum setting, probably the better.

I believe Michaelson said the above to me - almost verbatim - round about June of 2000?

NB, I think you did cross a line in a few ways (and can absolutely understand why the thread was taken down), but I for one am glad that you did.

It was great to have insight into Tony's perspective of jacket care and "stewardship" once it goes to the owner. You can't discount that the guy (and many other "hands-on" vendors) does put a lot of heart and soul into making each item, in anticipation of the jacket being appreciated. As someone in a different field who provides services that are highly customised, I know how frustrating it can feel when you put a lot of effort above and beyond the call, but then find out the client didn't appreciate it in whatever way.

You definitely can't complain about any vendor that cares "too much". It means he's giving you everything he's got.
