Club Obi Wan

Came home from running errands today and there it was - the square white box sitting on my doorstep. It felt like Christmas in February (even though it is close to 80 here in Houston today).





The other pleasant surprise was Steve's certificate that he includes with the CS hats.



My daughter is getting married in March and my wife has been telling me my brown fedora doesn't go well with my black suit. Now Steve has fixed me up!!

Congrats on the hat. I love those grey ABs. Don't know why we son't see more of them. I hate to dissapoint you, but I agree with your wife. This grey one will go better. Congratulations to you and your family on your daughters wedding.

Without a doubt - the wait was excruciating but well worth it. I have to admit I was getting worried that it wouldn't make it in time for the wedding but it's here in plenty of time. Steve is indeed a craftsman deluxe and I thank him for his dedication to the fedora and all the Indy fans here at COW and around the world. I almost hate to mention it because I know many of you are still waiting for your AB but I ordered a Raiders at the same time I ordered this hat and Steve is just waiting for my email comments on the fit to send me the second half of the order. Should be here within a week or two.

Thanks for all the great comments and will post pics from the wedding later in March.

That is a very photogenic fedora, and you wear it well.

The hat is truly spectacular. I keep talking myself in and out of placing an AB order. Obviously, the quality of the hat is second to none, and the fact that they're made by he who made the KotCS hats is really cool. However, I don't know if I can wait as long as it takes to get one. I'm fond of the grey fedora, but I may end up going a less expensive, more expeditious route to get one. Enjoy your daughter's wedding while sporting your exquisite headgear. Cheers.

Oops, I think I messed up Paul. I had forgotten about waiting on you to see if this size suited, and went ahead and mailed the Raiders fedora.(same size as your gray hat) If it needs sizing up, just send her back and I will do it as soon as it arrives. Too many hats under the iron and a pea brain to boot. Looks very good on you too, the gray one. Same block number as the gray CS fedora I made for Harrison. Regards. Fedora

Absolutely not a problem Steve, totally understandable with all the hat orders you are juggling. As it turns out the fit is good. It is a little looser than my TOD. I always felt it was too snug but had nothing to really compare it to. I actually feel my size is in between the 23 1/2 and the 23 5/8. My big concern is the high gusty winds that whistle between the buildings in downtown Houston from time to time. If I need more snug I will try a little foam tape inside the headband. The great thing is my Raiders will now get here much sooner than expected!!! Thanks again Steve!

And thank all of you for the additional kind comments. I had several people at work do a double take today because they are so used to my brown TOD it kind of surprised them. They all said it was a real classy hat. Actually, we had an all employee meeting at a downtown theater today so I wore my Grey CS because I had on gray slacks with blue shirt and blue tie. I used to work at one of our chemical plants just outside of Houston and my old boss (the plant manager) was also at the meeting. When he saw me come in he yelled "It's Indiana Jones!!" (even with the gray fedora). Needless to say I am very happy with it.

The wedding photos should be really good because she is getting married in St. Thomas Virgin Islands. Should be some great locations for pictures.
