I am excited......

Received this 2 bags over the weekend - direct from the UK. Not too bad for the price - 2 bags including shipping only cost me $90.
Just need the strap (which I am going to DIY) to complete it.

Yes, they are in great shape except for the musky and milddew smell from storage. I just air dry it for a couple of days and the smell seems to fade away.

As far as the strap, I am thinking about getting those 1" veg tan leather strap for about $8 a piece and dye it brown. Still looking for a 1" square buckle that is close enough

I had an extra buckle, but I gave one to another member on here right before you joined.

Todd sells some for around $3.00 I think.

The adventurebilt buckles are awesome if you are looking for a Raiders one. I have one on my Todd's strap and I'm pretty sure its 1" thick (for the strap). Came to about $11 Canadian. Arrived in like 5 days from ordering. Email them from adventurebiltdeluxe.com to get some info.

Another tip about Todd's strap. The strap COMES with the deluxe buckle, so you don't need to order the buckle. I made that mistake because I understood it as the strap came with a regular buckle, and the deluxe one was separate.

How happy are you with the Todd's strap? I'm looking to get another strap.

Where are you planning to get your leather? Do they come pre-cut in 1inch thickness or do you need to do that yourself somehow?

I've got a retired buddy in England and I've thought about asking him to find me one or two bags. I never have because I'm real happy with the bag I have and I don't need one right now. I often wonder what they'd cost over there.
