Help....WHAT'S BEST WAY TO SHAPE A HAT.....first timer here

Sorry to put everybody through this...Im sure it's been covered.

Is there a step by step guide here.

I will be recieving my Federation next week and I don't want to stuff it up.

And I cannot get to a hattery to get them to do it for me.

Theres a few different methods. Have you looked in the sticky here?

You could also try the search function.

First you have to ask yourself, what movie or scene from a movie am I going for? Print out those images if you can find them online, or snap a few pics on your digital camera from your tv, etc...

The Fed is easy to shape by hand, but for true definition, some use steam, some use cold water. There will be directions that come with your hat that will explain how to shape it.
