These pertain to both the Standard and Deluxe versions of the Fed 4.

1. Anybody know which "Fawn" felt is lighter; the Deluxe Heritage Fawn or the Standard Tawny Fawn?

2. Anyone know if the ribbon on one version is darker/lighter?

The Tawny Fawn pops a little brighter with a bit more tannish-yellow look, while the Heritage Fwan is more muted tannish-brown......that's the way I see it; hope it helps...........both are great hats, by the way :)

I have no doubts. I have had more than a few Fed III's come and go, though never in a light color. I was actually hashing over a custom hat decision, when I remembered these. So, I'm trying to decide if I'll be happier going another way for the custom, and looking to the Fed IV to fill my "tan" niche.

You want the Tawny Fawn standard Fed if you want a 'tan' hat. I have that one now. The Heritage has a lot more brown in it. I would dare call it a 'light brown' or almost a taupe color.

Here's a recent pic of me wearing the Tawny Fawn;- the shirt and jacket are much more green in person but you get the idea :

Here's one I had showing my Wested, but the hat is in it, and the color looks accurate:

Both pics are at from a 'low' perspective because I'm so tall.

Here is a pic of someone wearing the Heritage Fawn Deluxe:
