Welcome to Mr. Kendell Wells!

Post by hollywood1340 »

I would like to welcome Kendell Wells, actor, award-wining action choreographer and senior student of Mr. Anthony Delongis and the first instructor for the DeLongis Combat Arts. For myself personally he has been a great sport in answering my questions and helping me along with with my own whip journey. So welcome Kendall, to the finest Indiana Jones Bullwhip forum on the internet!

Thanks for the intro James!

So, hi, I'm here, I like whips! For those of you who saw More Extreme Marksmen I was Anthony's partner for the full contact whip demo, the recreation of the Don Q moment, and the sword fight. Plus I was doing horse-wrangling work and assistant work for Anthony and Dave on horseback.

Anyway, hello!

Welcome Kendall! Heck of a beating you took there as a whipping post. Good thing you had that helmet, jacket and extra protection on the arms. Glad to have you here.

Cheers! :whip:

Welcome, Kendall.

Can we get an admin to change his title to "Anthony's Whipping Post"?

(Still waiting to see the show. Don't have History Channel down here in Ecuador. At least we don't. :( )

Welcome Kendall!

Ok...Now that you are here, who is your whip maker of choice these days? I assume you gravitate to the longer (DeLongis) style handles, correct?

Again, welcome aboard.

Shane, I believe you met Jason. If you're talking about our visit, that's who it was.

Kendall, I've seen some of your demo videos in the past and must say that I have been thoroughly impressed. I hope to meet up with you sometime. Welcome aboard.

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

To answer your question Pete, I do prefer the longer "DeLongis" style handle bullwhip, anywhere from 6 to 8 feet.

And yes, it was a bit of a beating. I can certainly say I was sore the following day.
