One of the reasons my first jacket was an A-2 is because it's like an Indiana Jones jacket for the sleeve length (short arms) impaired.

Going to order a Todd's XL sooner or later and will try and just live with whatever the sleeve length is.

But I'd also like to get a nicer cowhide Indy jacket in the future say from US Wings...

do you think the sleeves can be hemmed shorter?

Can the sleeves be "molded" to stay further back? like kinda scrunchy in the middle?

sleeves can be shortened, depending on how much though might effect the diameter of the cuff end. If necessary that should be able to be taken in as well.
an tailor that works with leather should be able to do it.

You could always just order Custom and it should be right from the start

My sleeve length is only 24.5 in. and the sleeve length on my Todd's XL is just perfect.

I have had to deal with the short arm problem my entire life. Makes buying a nice shirt a pain, especially if you have a big neck!

Anyway, look uo a local tailor/seamstress and give them a call. Ask if they do alterations to leather, specifically sleeves. Your bound to get at least one "yes" and you'll be in business. I have one Indy jacket that I will be taking in for that exact problem... but I'm waiting until spring because I can wear it on the "warmer" days right now (like, 35 F is warm ).

Luckily, the sleeves on an Indy jacket are the easiest to shorten. No cuff details or seam to replicate, just turn up and heat tape and adjust the sleeve lining to fit. Any alterations service with leather experience should be able to do it.
