Ordering from Wested via email

Post by Clutters »

Anyone have any luck with this method recently?
I can't fit all my special requests into the limited space on the Wested site form, so I emailed Gemma about three days ago but haven't heard back. Perhaps I should just call...

Wested mail system it's terrible...

Your language is english, so I think it's better for you to call and speak with them directly.
Unfortunately I don't speak (and write) english very well, so I was obliged to order my special specs LC jacket by mail...with MANY mails...WITH TOO MANY MAILS...

Not all e-mail works with Wested and their terrible spam filter: for example, I have one GMail and one Alice email address...the GMail one never seem to work with Wested. But with the Alice one Gemma always reply to me... :-k

If you find any of mine in there, Peter, (and you should find several, going back to late November/early December) there's no need to reply anymore. I gave up and went in another direction.

Thanks anyway.

Hopefully this means 360 new orders to stave off the recession!

Many thanks for the update Peter.

You must have had a really long list because the comments section does expand to hold more info than just the small box you see. It did for me and I didn't have a long list.

I would say be sure of what you put in that section of the order because it is what will be used, even if you make changes later. That's my experience anyway, yours may be different.

RC here are my special requests (it is for a ROLA in auth brown lamb, 40 chest, 26 back, 26.5 sleeves). This will be my third Wested jacket:
1. Front pockets height (including the pocket flap): 7.5 inches. Front pocket width: 6.25 inches
2. Rear sleeve seam joins jacket 1 inch below the yoke seam
3. Back panel extending all the way out to the sleeve seam
4. Leather collar stand 1 inch high (instead of the standard 3/4 inches)
5. “Holt” style longer/larger collar. 19 inches around at the base, instead of the usual 17 inches. 2.75 inches high on the tips, tapering down to 2.5 inches
6. Collar ending halfway between the zipper and the storm flap edge on left side of jacket front
7. Storm flap rounded at the top
8. 5 gauge nickel zip extending all the way down to the bottom of the jacket
9. 8.5 inches long side straps
10. Black anodized metal sliders (rectangle rings)

Mostly Agent 5 specs and Holt's new collar.

That doesn't seem too long. The special request/comment section seemed to expand OK for me. Image

Some e-mail services doesn't work due to the terrible Wested spam-filter.
I've wrote to Gemma two days ago and she answered me within few hours.
If you can, send her an e-mail with a different service (ex. my GMail service doesn't work but my Alice one yes). ;-)

Authentic Brown!
I also don't like those reddish leathers. That also holds me off ordering a custom horsehide LC jacket from Wested :(

I would like to send an email to see if they have made/shipped my jacket yet as I've waited for a few months now. I'm not sure though if I ought to as I've had constant communication with them already about the goat. Ideas?
