FS e-mails and other questions.....
Hi there,
I have tried emailing flightsuits with a couple of questions but have not had a reply for about a week now. Is there anyone in particular one should email regarding the expo jacket..... aslo, does anyone know if they send leather samples, like Wested do? I think it's a big step to buy an expo jacket (due to the price), so I want to get it right first time (seeing as I live in the UK and it would cost to much to be sending it back for alterations/changes an' stuff). I have owned 4 Westeds and a USW and I just have to get an Expo now... and hopefully never have to buy another indy jacket again!..... er .....only joking
I guess while I'm here I might as well ask how the Wested and flightsuits goat-skins compare... now... I know this has been covered before... I just can't find the string ... also I was wondering what the difference is between the new (I think polyester-twill) lining they use and the old dacron-twill (sp?). ANY input would be MUCH appreciated....
Cheers,
Tollan

Hmmm... Time for me to give them a call. Maybe their email person (the person that forwards off email within FS) is on vacation.Michaelson wrote:Well, can anyone address the no email answers of late? I dropped Dave Marshall an email last Wednesday, and have not received any replies. I sent one to his attention via the sales department as well. Should I take this as a hint? Regards. Michaelson

Agreed. The point I was making is that their email responses used to be as fast AS a phone call. Now there's no response at all, and for me, email is the fastest and most timely way to 'talk' to them with my current work schedule, and it has been for the last 3 years. Now, nothing. Odd. Regards. I forgot to post this earlier. But I did talk to Dave Marshall about this. He did indicate that they do take Customer Satisfaction very seriously. People have lost jobs over this.Sergei wrote:Hmmm... Dave's recommendation is to use the toll free number:
800-748-6693
And ask for Dave. He will personally take care of you.
Or, because for overseas it's not a toll call, the number is:
619-440-2700
Or, you can email Dave Marshall directly:
dave@flightsuits.com
Tolan, I believe you emailed, Sam. Dave mentioned that Sam has been out of town on business. Dave is trying to pull that email out of the system, but if you could, forward your orginal email over to Dave.
Hope this helps....

p.s. Of course if you have problems reaching any of the vendors, please continue to send or post messages here so that the staff can help as well.

Likewise, I just recieved an email from Mr. Dave Marshall myself today. He replied promtly! However, he said that he will forward my email to a fella named "Ryan" who deals with the Indy Expedition jacket....so, hopefully I will hear something soon!

hmmm... good question! I'm totally torn between the goat and the lamb. The durability of the goat Vs the light weight and comfort of the lamb. I'll decide when I receive the leather samples I guess. I don't know of many people that have gone for the lamb though... most people here seem to go for the goat.....
