6 ft Joe Strain Aussie style Bullwhip with Copper

This whip has been a long time in the making...
)
Several months ago, I contacted Joe about doing a whip with a metal band, similar to the Alex Green/Zorr whips, but we wanted to do something completely unique... something no one has ever seen before.
The whip is basically one of his 6 Ft Australian style bullwhips, but with some noticable changes. Obviously he did some patterns in the handle and the knots feature Saddle Tan highlights.
We decided to use copper because we felt that as it ages, it will closely match and compliment the natural and saddle tan leather as it ages as well.
The copper band is engraved my my Musashi Dragon head logo that can be found on other items of mine as well. The copper cap on the end of the butt knot features a stylized "S" initial which was designed by a swordmaker friend of mine.
Joe has just shipped this whip so i will report more once it arrives.

Oh wow! I like it, that is unique, adding a personal touch was a great idea, the brass furrel really transitons well with the color and pattarns of the whip, really sweet looking whip man! ''there can be only one'' well mabey not, but I had to say it,
.
I already know how the whip will handle, having one of Joe's awesome whips myself, so I know you'll have a lot of fun with it.
All the best.

I've taught you well Shagbd.
Now THAT is awesome. It's personalized which means it really cool. I love the Zorro whip a lot but that's just so neat. What I find unique about Joe is the perfection of his whip making. Tight braiding, it's not over shellaced so it looks like leather, his fancy whips don't look like mantel pieces but very usable.
This is something I'd enjoy seeing in person and would love to try out.
It's also going to be awesome when it's aged. That natural tan is going to darken up like a beauty and it's going to shine.
I'm going to PM you my home address so he can ship it to the right house.

Hey David,
Congratulations on that whip. I know that design from several Simon Martin whips.
Joe Strain did a great job on that one
If you're interested in this design, visit Simon's
homepage! He does beautiful stockwhips with steel or brass ferrules.
But again - great whip!

Shagbd,
That is a fantastic looking whip, nothing like your "own" signature whip! As always Joe creates magic again!

I would like a video to. It looks like its got quite the kick behind it.
Martial Arts logo? That's really unique as the Filipinos use whips in some of their forms. I do martial arts to but never thought about putting a logo on there or something of that sort.
Stop stealing all the good ideas! None will be left after you're done.

Shagbd -
That is a great looking whip. What is the length of the handle, 12 inch?
