Today, I joined the "Club Obi-Wan" Facebook group, and in doing so - I noticed that there was not an Adventurebilt group yet... so I started one up!
I figured the more people that learn about Steve and Marc's beautiful work... the better! Feel free to join!
Marc and Steve, I invite you to join this group... I would love to have you both as Admins, so that you may edit the information etc...
All the best COW, and Happy New Year!

Somehow I don't think that either Steve or Marc will consent to be moderators - they've got enough work on their hands and I don't think either of them has a facebook page. I could be wrong, but I don't think so. -M

I'm in!
I don't have an AB by now (in the future, maybe...) but I really like the beautiful works of Steve and Mark!

As so many people have said, it's worth every penny. I have two and love them both, especially the first one: since it's had time to age, it's faded slightly and softened up for a near-perfect SOC look. -M

I just went and checked it out. Very nice. I hope Steve and Marc see this. Did anyone invite them?

I don't think either of them are actually on Facebook... yet. But, I did invite them. Unfortunately, some people are still sceptical using Facebook... plus with the amount of e-mails these guys get on a daily basis, maybe it would be too overwhelming? Not sure.
I just think it's cool that we can all connect to one another solely based on our love of the Indy hat. I know it sounds silly, but we're a pretty special group of geeks! I think we should embrace it, and show the Facebook community our lids!
The group itself, has the potential to act as a more personal and interactive way for Adventurebilt customers and fans to share images, ask questions, and learn about the most famous hat in the history of motion pictures... Just think of it as an extension of this forum. It also is a great way for new people, unfamiliar with Adventurebilt - to become aware of the work they do and how passionate everyone is about the hobby.
Thanks to everyone for joining so far! If anyone has any suggestions feel free to post them here - or on the Adventurebilt group wall.
Best,
s.

No offense, but I'm kind of trying to figure out what's the point of this? We all meet here and discuss things...why do the same thing twice? I dunno, just seems like a lot of wasted online time, but whatever.

Boo...
Are you even on Facebook? I don't expect these groups to act as a forum.
For the record, COW will, and always will be the best place to get in touch with the Gear community. This is home base, where I come for my daily dose of Indygear information etc...
Facebook is about networking and having a presence. Both COW and Wested have Facebook groups... Adventurebilt and Nowak now have one too.

I'm with you, Jedidentist. However, since this is an ultra-family friendly site the facebook sites can amp it up a step further and allow more people to really be themselves when it can't be done here. The rules here will definitely not apply there. I can dig that aspect of it.
