Aldens for christmas, but...

To my surprise, I actually got a pair for christmas... BUT I had to exchange them for a new pair because of some faulty stitching on the welt and sole. They are a pair of 10's and I was wondering if I should get a 9.5 instead because they do seem a little loose and the end of my big toe lies right under the moc stitching. Any advice? Thanks.

for what it' s worth...

I was measured between 11 and 11.5 and my 11's fit perfectly

Cheers, H

As I understand it, proper fit is key when it comes to Aldens. I would find someone in your area who deals with orthopedic shoes and have them measure your foot for size and width, and place the order for your replacement shoes accordingly.

That said, if you want a professional opinion send a PM to Schmidty612 and ask his advice; he probably knows as much about Alden shoes as anyone.

If the end of your toe is at the moc toe stitching, you should be fine. The issue with shoes is if there is heel slippage? That is when you could have problems, blisters, etc.
