Well, after looking at the Truck chase in Raiders (best view of the Aldens) I can safely say there are brown laces, but the question is, are they fabric or leather? Not sure what Alden puts with the boots when they sell them, but I would guess fabric. Any thoughts. I'm leaning towards fabric, mainly because they last longer, but Indy could have worn leather laces.

Any Aldens experts out there with some insight?

I've owned Aldens for the past five years, and I can definitely vouch for the fact that they are fabric bootlaces.

When he's playing footsy with the German in the Truck and stomps on the gas you can see the fraid end of the lace.

Off the topic: during the entire truck sequence his gloves change form the yellow to the off white and back almost every cut.
