no 'dino hide' here.......
#100/888 raiders jacket made in dark indy 4 cowhide......for those not entirely sold on the graining of shrunken lamb, i hope this will appeal to your tastes ;-)
tony called this 'the new champion' and proclaimed that she's ready for abuse cuz she can take it!
she has the same specs as #010 except i asked for a big, big collar on this one. i will try to post some pics of her with me wearing an indy shirt to show you just how SA tony made the collar.
i love the jacket and the cowhide is perfect for winter. it's quite the stiff hide so it'll take some break-in to get her to drape like a raiders jacket.....the same time it took to break in my CS.
god, i love the distressing job!!!!!!

Nice jacket, G! One question: if it's a Raiders, why does it have the pronged buckles on the back like a ToD jacket?
Anyway, it's got a really nice distressing job...I wish I could afford one...especially in dino hide...but I already spent $700 on one of his CS jackets, so I've really gotta tell myself no. -M
Ps. @ returning son - it's a raiders jacket.

Great job, as always, by Tony. I agree it's a terrific jacket and the distressing is outstanding. And, as you already know, once that cowhide breaks in, it's just wonderful.

the original 'secret jacket' that tony had in his hands, though did not have the pronged buckles on it, did have penetrations in the strap........i just extrapolated the concept and had these installed.....both as a nod to TOD as well as what KT and i see in some scenes.Mulceber wrote:Nice jacket, G! yeah, I just think the distressing reminds me of LC...also could double for a Martin Grace "Wilson" stunt jacket....Mulceber wrote:Nice jacket, G! One question: if it's a Raiders, why does it have the pronged buckles on the back like a ToD jacket?

Ah, I see. Interesting choice - either way she's a beaut! -MIndiana G wrote:the original 'secret jacket' that tony had in his hands, though did not have the pronged buckles on it, did have penetrations in the strap........i just extrapolated the concept and had these installed.....both as a nod to TOD as well as what KT and i see in some scenes.Mulceber wrote:Nice jacket, G! They are all related in some way. I suppose if you added snaps to the front flap, given the hide on this one, it would pass for an 'LC'ReturningSon wrote:Man...what a beaut...the splitting image, to my eyes, of a perfect...yes "pefect" LC jacket!!! Way to go and congrats! When I take my jacket up to Tony for panel replacement, I will definitely look in on this!!!!

I think some predistressed jackets looks fake because leather is still not worn. It still looks like a new jacket, and that is what strikes the eyes.agent5 wrote: I'm not sure what to think about the distressing. Some of it looks fake and some looks natural. I'm dying to see any of his jackets in person for a more accurate assessment.
This one however looks worn, and like it is been on many adventures.

bought 4 and sold 1 ;-) ........castor has more nowak's than me, so go pick on himPSBIndy wrote:Indiana G, isn't this your 3rd or 4th Nowak? Geez, man, you got some deep pockets! I'm envious. Anways, that looks fantastic! As always, another awesome job by Tony. Is the cost still $700 for the cowhide?
like i always say.........buying indygear is still cheaper than golf
the cost of this one was $725 plus shipping. all i asked for my birthday was some $$$ to help pay for her......i managed to get enough birthday money to pay off the shipping and probably the back panel
......anybody want to buy some 'best buy' gift certificates???

That Nowak looks simply incredible! It sums up Indy's jacket in all three incarnations perfectly to me! Made with the KotCS craftsmanship, based on the RoLA design, with ToD strap keepers, and a very LC look!
Now this makes me excited for my next Nowak!

THAT IS AMAZING !!!
OMG
How did that NEVER occur to me !!! I've been at a war with myself between choosing either Indy 4 vs Raiders from Tony....
...and then I see this from G. It's amazing !!! I mean, this is it !!! That's such a great combination between Indy4 hide and Raiders cut.
This is what I want in my future jacket.
G, thank you for the illumination

That's the best distressing job I've seen straight out of the box.....as you know TN knows his stuff.......could you post side by side this collar etc with your CS and other Raiders so can see how much difference there is...I may get one of these with standard Raiders collar or your new version....this looks almost like a Raiders with a CS collar.......VERY nice.......congrats.....Doc

Probably more a case of it being CS hide so it naturally looks like it's distressed as a CS jacket. The shrunken lamb isn't for everyone, even though there is convincing evidence that is what the Raiders jacket was.Dutch_jones wrote:he even distressed it as a CS jacket which makes it look more like a cs's to me. But way improved over the dinohide , which in my opinion should only be worn by this guy:
I'll eventually order a Raiders in shrunken lamb from TN.

thanks for the kind words gents. this is truly a great jacket in cut and quality. this one will definitely stand the test of time......if my daughter gets as big as me, she can have it......well, i'm kind of hoping she doesn't
yes, the raiders jacket was definitely darker than this cat....more along the lines of the shrunken lamb. also, if i throw a haymaker at a german mechanic, the jacket will definitely not swing up and expose my back....she's too heavy in that sense. however, if i am driving a 5 tonne truck with the ark in the back seat, i'm pretty sure that if a german shoots my arm, the bullet would just bounce off
