NH pants leg widths

Howdy,
I'm thinking about altering a pair of close-enough pants to look even closer. Specifically, can anyone give me the leg widths of the NH pants (36-ish waist) at the cuff, top of the inseam, and halfway in-between?
Thanks,
RaiderZee

RaiderZee,
That's a difficult question to answer...it depends strictly on your body and leg structure. However, the pants' legs should not be smaller than 8.5 in. on each side. The best thing is to bring your pants to a tailor and give to him the above measurements. Try to alter your pants in a way that the will be straight when you are looking them from the front and a bit tapered when you look at them from the side.
Remove excess material from the waist and the inside leg near the waist. The original MBA/NH had a tight fit on the waist, internally and externally.
I hope that everything will go well

Hey RaiderZee,
To indygr you must listen! ;-)
Better than the actual leg measurement is to compare your shoes to the pants. That is, use a picture of Indy's shoes and see how much of the shoe the pants cover. Then, on your shoes make your hem cover the same amount of shoe. This will look the most accuate reguardless of the original leg opening (approx. nine inches I beleive).
The taper is straight from the hip measurement (fullest part of the tush over the hips) to the hem. For a good picture, see Kt. Templar's thread about NH screen used pants:
