Part one of my Christmas gift to myself arrived about a week ago. My new Todd's custom in new lambskin. Today's the first good chance I had to take pics. I apologize if some of the pics are blurry, my camera is not doing what I want it to today. It's a great jacket. Todd does some really good work. This is my second custom order from him.

Part two of my gift, a Wested TOD, arrived at work a couple of days ago. I just haven't had a chance to go get it because I'm on vacation. Now, if you'll pardon me, I have to go dig out from last night's snowstorm!

Todd does some really great work and the fit looks really good. Is that his lamb?

Yeah, it's his lamb. Not the washed stuff but just regular.

It's a great looking hide.

When I received the leather samples a few months ago, it appeared as though Todd had made a great choice of hide for the custom lamb. Your jacket reminds me alot of the scene in LC, when they are in the 'Treasury' at Petra. Looks like it is well made and fits well, also!

Yeah, Todd really nailed the fit on this one. The hide IS great. Although it doesn't show very well on my crappy camera there is actually a bit of texturing to the skin. Not quite to the extent of the Tony Nowak version but enough to keep it from looking "too smooth." In addition the lambskin distresses quite easily on its own with a nice light brown undertone. I could go on and on about it it's that nice.

The lining, is it a cotton type fabric like a Wested?

You know, I believe this jacket has a larger collar like the "Holt special".

That is one nice looking jacket - very Indy. Great collar and pockets, man. Good work, Todd.

First thing I noticed was the collar. Sweet.

This just shows me that I have a lot to learn as far as checking for details. I was so engrossed in the look of the leather that I didn't look that closely at the collar. That's the best collar (outside of Holt's jacket) that I've seen.

Yes, the body of the jacket is a cotton type lining while the arms are a satin or polyester type of material.

Just as a bit of an aside, I've read a lot of threads discussing the durability of Todd's Standard jacket. How about the custom? How well are they holding up?

So far so good! Never had a problem with either of mine.

I too have a Todds custom. You'll love how it drapes after you've worn it a lot.
I drenched my in water (in the summer time) and wore it around till it dried, and scrunched up the sleeves to get that nice wrinkled look. Todd does outstanding work and as I said before, love my jacket.

Wow, and he didn't even have to request it, I guess Todd being the astute fan that he is just does it on his own...
