To be fair, shouldn't you put CS in the poll? ;-)

ROTLA definitely, although my Fed IV bash is reversed, swoop going on the left instead of right. It is not SA but i think it look better on my face features. :[

The hat in Raiders has always been my favorite. You never forget your first, right? But the CS has been growing on me!

The Raiders crease has always been my favorite. I'd say its Raiders followed by the Crystal Skull hat and then the suspension bridge hat from Temple.

for hats with too much taper, i go with a soft TOD pinch rather than any angled pinches like LC and CS.

most the hats i do are for raiders so it's a tight pinch at the top, deep creases on the side, channel pinch on the right hand side. all that after a good 1 1/4" turn or wherever the swooped brim looks its best. the back brim on the left should kink up a little whilst the right rear gets pushed down to the point where you don't have much flanging left.

removing most of the flanging from the rear will give you more of a SOC/truck scene look. i tend to stick to the idol grab look that is less flanged/curled than the raven bar.........ford always fiddled sith his hat in the raven bar scenes to get more curl out of it.

his hat was so soft that it never looked the same in different scenes....plus the fact that he had more than one hat. all these variables could drive a hatter nuts :)

Which is exactly why you should start selling hats, G. So that we can order all those different looks from you. ;-)

ROTLA, specifically the Idol Grab, is The Hat to me. But I may try an LC bash on my next hat and see how it works with my face shape.

Well I hit ROTLA, because it started out as that. Not sure what it would be now. It's got some taper and the creases are really tight, but it's not really a TOD or LC. I guess it's just a Raiders in bad need of a re-blocking.

I voted Raiders because Crystal Skull wasn't listed. I like them equally with the exception of the tight pinch on the Raiders hats which, to me, looks out of place on a Fedora.

And yes, I realize I'm in the minority here.

I selected Raiders but I'm leaning towards the Young Indy (TV series) for my next bash. The main reason is because it looks so different from the rest and looks comfortable as can be. I'll probably like beating the snott out of it more than wearing the bash itself

Raiders. Although it takes the most finese'.
I prefer some of the ToD hats to the LC hats though. The hat he wears in Brunwald Castle has always bugged me. It just looks rubbish.

If I need to "dress up," CS is my choice. I think that bash lends itself very well to formal/semi-formal events. For the other 99% of the time, it's ROTLA. Sometimes, you can't improve on an original design, even if it was an accident.

Yeah. I'll admit the CS hat has an appealing all-round-Indy element to it. It's quintessential. Though it did look a tad too perfect from time to time.
